Classify different parenting styles
Children's future and manners especially depend on their parents' controlling and
managing methods and styles. It is important that the way the parents interact and how they
discipline to their children because it will influence the rest of the children's life. In theory,
parenting styles are analyzed with four different categories: authoritarian parent, permissive
parent, authoritative parent, and neglecting parent. Authoritarian parenting is an extremely strict
parenting style. They never consider the children's point of view and they believe that strict rules
are important to make their children well-behaved and fit into the society. Moreover, they don't
typically explain about the strict rules and rationale explanations or listen and give an opportunity
for the children to express their feelings. The second type of parenting method is permissive
parenting style. These types of parents never say "no" to their children and they never control
and attempt to discipline their children . They struggle to set rules and expectations for behavior
on their children. Authoritative parents are characterized by high responsiveness and high
expectations of their kids. They respect their children's needs and set firm limits for their
children. They attempt to control children's behavior by explaining rules and rational
reasoning. They listen to a children's viewpoint but don't always accept it. The final type
of parenting is neglecting parents. They particularly don't respond to their children's
needs, grades and desires. They barely show little interest in their children and never
give advice or motivation, In my opinion, perhaps there are many types of parenting
stvles that can rear children. For good parenting, parents have to ensure the balance of demandingness and responsiveness.
