~Sick~ Chocobros x Sick! Reader

OC P.O.V- [Y/n] and the group were currently out on a hunt when she suddenly started to feel sick, she tried to hide it with a smile but soon it got worse and she couldn't anymore...

It was mid afternoon, the sun was up high but it wasn't too hot. Ignis was behind the wheel as usual and Prompto was rambling on and on about this sunset he wanted to snap a shot of but didn't get the chance. Normally this didn't bother [Y/N], she quite enjoyed the blonde's stories and complaining but today something was different...

Something was wrong.

[Y/N] woke up today with much trouble, she had a headache and a stuffy nose the night before but decided to just brush it aside. The group set up camp before so she was in the tent bought specially for herself. When day broke she dragged herself out of bed feeling dizzy but again she decided to ignore it.

Ignis seemed to notice [Y/N] swaying a bit ans walked up to her "Are you alright?" he asked, [Y/N] put on a bright smile and said "yeah, I'm perfectly fine" "Let's get going!" the two heard Gladio call as he finished packing up camp and they all went to the car.

[Y/N] took her usual seat in between Noct and Gladio, she felt fatigued but just decided to tell herself she was tired and went about daydreaming like she normally would. Suddenly she felt dizzy again and a sharp piercing pain hit her head, trying her best not to make any sounds from the pain she just held her hand to her head.

Noct nudged her shoulder gently "What's up?" she shook her head, only causing it to hurt more and said "Nothing, why?" then smiled, Noct shrugged "You just seem off today I dunno" and they left it at that.

As the day went on [Y/N] started to feel much warmer that usual, her headache persisted as she fidgeted in her seat due to the discomfort of the heat. Her shoulder brushed against Gladio's and he felt her burning up, "You're hot [Y/N]" he said glancing at her.

She knew what he meant but decided to ignore it "Aw thanks, I get that a lot" she replied, grinning "You know what I mean" he then said and Prompto turned back to look at her "Yeah [Y/N] you're flushed, you look like a tomato" he said, "You're one to talk, chocobo butt" she spat back playfully.

"I do not!" Prom whined, [Y/N] seemed to be acting like her usual cheery self, ever coming up with funny comebacks for the guys comebacks so they dropped the topic. But soon she fell silent as her throat became unusually dry, she tried drinking water but it didn't help much and she was way more fatigued now.

She drifted off into an uneasy sleep, her breathing a little more heavy now but not to the point of causing alarm. She awoke to the feeling of someone nudging her shoulder, she groaned in protest but finally forcing herself awake she looked at the owner of the hand to see a worried looking Noctis.

"Hm?" she hummed in question for her throat was so dry she was sure she wouldn't be able to talk, "You're sweating and shivering at the same time [Y/N], you're sure nothing's wrong?" he asked quietly so no one else could hear "Positive" [Y/N] whispered back.

Now [Y/N] was fully awake, she suddenly took notice of the throbbing pain in her head and the weak feeling in her arms and legs, she winced in pain catching the attention of Ignis who looked at her from the rear view mirror "Everything okay [Y/N]?" he asked "Peachy" she quickly replied, suddenly hearing the raspy tone in her voice, she sealed her mouth shut and did a thumbs-up with a closed eyed smile.

[Y/N]'s eyes wouldn't let her open them again, she slowly slid back in her seat and drifted off once more...

"We're here" she awoke to the words she knew belonged to Ignis, she forced her eyes open her heavy eyelids threatening to shut again, "She looked ah her surroundings confused, Prom took notice of that "We're hear on a hunt remember?" he said reminding his friend.

She nodded slightly and smiled, everyone got out of the car. [Y/n] didn't think she had the strength to walk let alone fight a beast. She slowly got out pf the car and stood on shaking legs, having to lean on the car to support herself.

"We're ready when you are!" she heard Prompto call from afar, that's when it occurred to her that her friends were several paces ahead and she was still leaning on the car. "Com..." she tried to call but quickly clutched her throat because of the painful burning sensation to appeared once she tried to talk.

Her friends all stared at her worried as she dragged her feet to catch up with them. Once they started off again Prompto slowed down so the two were walking at the same pace.  He gently put  a hand on her shoulder but to [Y/N] it felt like someone just dropped a 10 tonne brick on her, she winced slightly as she treaded on, sweating buckets.

"[Y/N] y'know if something's wrong you can tell anyone of us right?" he asked, concerned for his dear friend's well being "I know Prom, but nothing's wrong" [Y/N] smiled tiredly "I know you're lying" Prompto urged, [Y/N] was just about to confess all the pain and dizziness she felt the whole day when suddenly Gladio yelled "Heads up" and the two only barely dodged a bunch of spikes headed toward them.

The group found the beast and instantly went to work. While usually [Y/N] would be in the forefront with her magical bow and arrow casting relentless and merciless attack spells, all the while enjoying the adrenaline that the battle gave her, this time she knew she couldn't fight. Instead she  stationed herself a safe distance away and told herself she'd focus on healing anyone who got hurt.

Just then Prompto got hit and was almost knocked out "[Y/N] Prom's hurt!" Ignis called "On it!" she quickly replied but just as she drew her string back, ready to fire a healing arrow, a wave of weakness drowned her, she felt like she was over heating. [Y/N] dropped her bow, trying her best to stay conscious.

"[Y/N]!" Ignis called once more seeing that his friend was still weak and on the ground "It's okay I've got him" Noct answered, quickly giving Prompto a potion. With Prom back on the team they defeated the beast with ease. Once it disappeared, the four all turned to [Y/N].

"What happened just now? You were supposed to..." Ignis trailed off as he saw the state of the frail girl. [Y/N] was shaking uncontrollably, sweating buckets and breathing as though she'd just ran a marathon. "[Y/N]!" the four called as they rushed to her side.

Prompto was the first beside her "[Y/N] you're burning up!" he exclaimed as he held the girl, and winced at the sudden heat. "I'm f..." before she could finish her sentence, [Y/N]'s world went black, she felt herself fall over then... nothing.
