Chapter 4

Shen Wei woke up in the middle of night when she heard the voices near her tent. She didn't know who are those voices but they are too closed to her tent. She moves her body from Zhao Yunlan that still embracing her caused Zhao Yunlan woke up as well and frowning to her.

''What is it, Shen Wei? Are you hurt?'' Zhao Yunlan asked with worry.

Shen Wei shakes her head.

''I heard voices near to our tent. Too closed,'' Shen Wei whispered.

''Voices? But I didn't hear anything except the insects in the jungle,'' Zhao Yunlan told.

Shen Wei rises up to sit and she listens to the surrounding her. She frowns when she still hears the voices near their tent.

''They are still there. I still heard their voices. Are they ghosts?'' Shen Wei said made Zhao Yunlan becomes more frowning.

''Ghosts? Are you can see the ghosts?'' Zhao Yunlan asked in surprised.

Shen Wei nods admitted.

''Usually I just can see not hear,'' Shen Wei told.

''And now you heard?'' Zhao Yunlan asked to confirm.

Shen Wei nods.

''What are they talking? I mean what did you hear?'' Zhao Yunlan asked again.

Shen Wei silents for a moment to confirm the words she heard from the outside of this tent which is near to their tent.

''We need to tell her now that she can't be with him. Or else that monster will come back and kill him again. They are in danger,'' Shen Wei repeated the words she heard from those voices made Zhao Yunlan frowns again.

''Is that what you heard?'' Zhao Yunlan asked.

Shen Wei nods.

''I want to go out and ask them what are they meant...'' Shen Wei decided and she wanted to leave the tent but then Zhao Yunlan pulls her back.

''How about your condition? You will be freezing cold at outside, Shen Wei,'' Zhao Yunlan reminded.

''But I can't let them go away without any explanation. I want to know the truth for what they said. Who are they referring to. And why are they talking near to our tent? Are they referring to us, Yunlan?'' Shen Wei said.

Zhao Yunlan silents.

''Okay, okay! Let's go out together. I will protect you with my energy. I don't want to see you are suffering with the freezing cold you have,'' Zhao Yunlan decided.

Shen Wei just nods understand and they two walk out from their tent, startling the two ghosts that talking near to their tent. Only Shen Wei can see them but not Zhao Yunlan. Those two ghosts wanted to run away but then Shen Wei called them with assurance.

''Please don't go! I will not hurt you,'' Shen Wei pleaded.

''We are sorry to disturb you,'' a female ghost apologized.

''Not to mention. But what did you mean by your words earlier?'' Shen Wei asked directly.

''You two are exactly like them,'' a male ghost stated.

''Like them? Who?'' Shen Wei asked in confusion.

''Bai Wei and Kunlun,'' that male ghost told.

''Bai Wei and Kunlun? Who are they?'' Shen Wei confused with that name made Zhao Yunlan as well confused to hear Kunlun name.

''Kunlun? Did they say Kunlun?'' Zhao Yunlan asked to Shen Wei to hear that name.

Shen Wei nods.

''You called that name too in your sleep on the first night I hugged you, Shen Wei,'' Zhao Yunlan told.
