Chapter 18 The Game against Australia
Before they knew it three days went past in a blast. They were facing Australia. Esmeralda and Vivanne were getting ready to go down to breakfast before going to the stadium. Esmeralda and Vivanne were walking down to the lift when they saw Ali, Ash, Kyle and Debbie. Vivanne nodded to them. Esmeralda smiled then Esmeralda and Vivanne went into the lift. There was one more game closer to the final.
Esmeralda couldn’t be happier for her wife. They had planned to take a month off and Vivannes' club knew this and supported them taking time off and reconnecting as wife and wife.
Esmeralda had a surprise for her wife they thought they were going to Greece for 2 weeks and then coming back home but the truth was that they were going to Greece for 2 weeks and then Italy for 2 weeks.
Vivanne has always wanted to go to Italy, the place of love. Esmeralda hoped that they would get pregnant, Esmeralda was ready to be a mom now that she had overcome most of her trauma as a child and teen.
She was ready to support her wife, they already had a plan. Vivanne would start training 6 weeks after giving birth and Esmeralda would stay home and look after the baby or take them to the gym/office and look after them there. Esmeralda couldn’t wait to be a mom.
With Esmeralda daydreaming they were soon on the coach going to the stadium before the game kicked off at 2.30 pm they would have a late lunch after the game. Esmeralda was sitting with Daans family. They knew each other well. They were invited to Vivanne and Esmeralda's wedding.
Esmeralda was sitting on the edge of her seat watching the football. The Dutch were winning by 1-0 by Vivanne scoring in the 5th minute. Esmeralda couldn’t wait for the final whistle to blow.
