Hey guys, I won't take up much time with a whole intro. I just wanted to say, thanks for giving this story a chance! There will most likely be errors here and there so please let me know about any. But otherwise, enjoy and let me know your thoughts on the book. Thank you!

*The girl in the picture is how I picture Ava! I have no clue who the actress is. I found her on Pinterest, but she is exactly what I envision for the way Ava looks.*

I shoot up onto my bed from the sound of that god horrid alarm. The only alarm tone that'll actually wake me up instead of me hitting snooze.

I look over to the clock to see the time which reads 5:45am. As much as I wanna lay back down and sleep longer, I pushed myself to get up out of bed and into the bathroom.

Luckily, the bathroom is in my room, so I didn't have to walk far. I shut the door behind me and take a look in the mirror. My light brown hair was in a horrible bun that had mostly unraveled at this point. My blue eyes were bloodshot red because I stupidly fell asleep with my contacts still in. I mentally curse at myself and prepare for the pain of taking the contacts out.

Today was the first day of senior year. I had planned to wake up early and look somewhat presentable for the first day. But of course, I had to go and ruin it by sleeping with the contacts in and looking like I have pink eye. But nonetheless, I will do my absolute best.

After spending 15 minutes on taking out those god forsaken contacts, I put some eye drops in to help the irritation. I do a quick face cleanse and apply all my daily skin serums, eye cream and then moisturizer. Now that I look like a human being, I leave the bathroom and go to my dresser to find a decent outfit to wear.

After spending a few minutes rummaging through my dresser, I decide on a black t-shirt with blue skinny jeans. I ended up on just dressing casual today instead of dressing up. I walk over to my vanity and I sit on my vanity chair. I'm just gonna do a simple look, going on easy on the eyes. I started with my base today since I'm not doing any eyeshadow. I apply some regular mascara to my lashes, careful not to irritate my eyes anymore than they already are.

After completing my makeup, I brush my hair and look over to the time, 6:19am.

I finish up all my final touches and grab my backpack to head out. I walk downstairs and notice it's empty. I felt a tad bit upset that mom and dad weren't home as usual eating breakfast with Ethan, my 16 year old brother. Mom works as an ER nurse and heads out in the morning, but usually a bit later than me. Dad runs his own construction company, so his timings are always random depending on his clients. Ethan is starting sophomore year (early b-day) at the same high school as I. He's on the football team so he leaves earlier for practice.

I love my family with my whole heart, but I wish my parents would have given me some more time. I rarely get to see them, so having breakfast together is one thing I tend to look forward to. I'm interrupted from my thoughts when I hear a car horn blaring. I recognize it as my best friend, Monet.

Monet and I met as toddlers in preschool. When we were in class, a boy tried to steal my blocks to build with and Monet yelled at him for doing so. Ever since, we've been inseparable. She is truly my sister.

I'm in interrupted from my thoughts when I hear her horn beeping again so I slide on some black converse and grab my backpack. I leave the house, making sure to lock the door behind me. I walk over to her and sit in the car.

"Bitch, the fuck took you so long?" Monet asked annoyed.

"Calm down witch, I was kissing my boyfriend goodbye." I reply in a serious tone.
