Giyuu Tomioka POV:

It wasn't supposed to be like this. This was never supposed to happen. Yet here I am, hiding and shaking in fear. I could hear her screams of pain and terror as she was being devoured by that thing. That demon. More tears flowed down my face as I heard her scream once more. Sobs racked my body as I wished for this to be over, as I wished this had never happened.

I remembered the way she knew. The way she knew it was there and hid me in this room. It was as if she had expected this for some time now. But I was too scared to think about it for now. I mean, I was only six after all. No child should have to experience this. I closed my eyes as I listened to the screams of my older sister. How I wished I could help. But she had told me to stay here, no matter what happened.

When I opened my eyes again, it was silent. I must have passed out at some point because the house was now silent. I took in a shaky breath before wiping at my tear stained cheeks. I stood up on shaky legs. I stumbled a bit before regaining my balance. I slowly and shakely made my way towards the main room where my sister should be. I thought I would be ready for what laid ahead...

I was not.

I was definitely now. I screamed in terror, covering my mouth as fresh tears gathered in my eyes. There, lying on the ground, is my sister.

"Tsutako!" I cried as I ran towards her limb form. I fell down beside my older sister's lifeless form. "Please! Wake up! Don't leave me, please!"

I started shaking her as I begged. I didn't care that I was getting blood on my clothes and hands, I just wanted my sister to wake up. But no matter how long I shaked she and begged, she did not wake up.

With tears streaming down my face, I ran out of the house and into the empty street in search of help. I stumbled through the streets until I came by the town woods cutter. He smiled as he saw me but that smile soon turned into a frown. He looked at the blood and his face turned worried. I tried explaining what had happened, I really did... That was the day they started calling me liar...
