It's a human's natural reaction toward a sorrowful condition to at first, weep and then regret.

Rosie couldn't even get time to even let her emotions out but she did get time to regret it. Regret every single decision she made ever since she came to this city.

Regretting past decisions does make one feel like the weakest person ever when one can't do anything. Rosie of course can't make her friend alive by any means. But all Rosie could do was regret and replay the moment when she met her friend for the first time, in her mind again and again as if it will change anything.

Rosie had a very simple life. With a decent family which loved and adored her. But there was only one thing that differed Rosie from other people; the fact that she didn't have any friends. Or at least that's what Rosie thought.

Rosie's father was a Customer Service Agent which was followed by the fact that they had to move out a lot. This made it hard for her parents to keep changing Rosie's school as it was hard for little Rosie as well to adjust to the environment. So her parents decided to homeschool her for as long as her father doesn't get a promotion and could finally stop moving out.

Although Rosie never showed it, she hated the fact that she couldn't attend a proper school and all. While on the other hand, Rosie's father's partner sent his daughter(Hannah) to school despite changing school again and again. Rosie always listened to Hannah's stories about school and her friends. And this raised a keen desire in Rosie to make friends and attend school.

Hannah considered Rosie her best friend. Whenever Rosie whined about her life being boring because she doesn't attend a formal school and doesn't have friends, Hannah was always there for her... Listening to her complaints for hours.

Rosie never considered Hannah her friend or bestie she always said that Hannah can never be just a friend but Hannah was her life. Rosie often called Hannah her life.
Rosie had always grown up beside Hannah. Both of them had spent most of their time together. They can't imagine being apart from one another. But still, Rosie wanted to have friends like normal people have.

And so that day came into her life. The day of pure happiness for Rosie when her father entered the house with an envelope in his hand. Rosie looked at her father and then at the envelope. She wasn't sure what the envelope had and neither did the thought of her father's promotion cross her mind until he told her. Rosie was the first one to hear the news of her dad's promotion.

Rosie ran to Hannah's home which was a few blocks away.

'Rosie, I am happy for you...but unfortunately, my dad couldn't get a promotion.' Hannah said as she pulled Rosie away who was hugging her.

Rosie felt like her world had stopped. She for sure couldn't leave Hannah. Hannah was the only person who makes Rosie's day and make her laugh daily not because she is funny but because her every word touches Rosie's heart as if they belong there. Plus Hannah was definitely more than just a friend for Rosie. Rosie wouldn't even stand a day without talking to Hannah. Rosie turned pale at the thought of leaving Hannah.

That's when Hannah chuckled. 'Stupid I am just kidding. I ain't leaving you this soon.'

All these were followed by shifting to the new city called Ilsan. And Rosie going through heavy training so that she can make friends when she goes to high school. Hannah told her all the ways that could make Rosie look like a decent girl. Not like Rosie isn't one. Unfortunately, Hannah and Rosie couldn't join the same school because of subject differences.

And just like that, Rosie succeeded in making a good first impression as a high school freshman. She did succeed in making a few friends like her classmates. As Rosie joined late they would often help her with notes and all.
