"Sirius ?" Remus inquired, "But surely thats a boys name !! And you're not a boy, are you ?"
Viola, or Sirius, mumbled something incoherent. James and Peter glared daggers at Remus before James explained to him. "Sirius was a girl, and now they are a boy. Are you okay with this, because if you're not then you can get the hell out of our apartment. Understand ?" The venom in his voice was dripping from these words, scaring Remus half to death.
Stunned, Remus just nodded and said quietly, "I understand. And thats okay with me. Sorry Sirius-"
"Its okay Remy." Sirius launched into a hug with Remus, causing him to blush slightly before patting Sirius on the back in what he hoped was a friendly way. It had been a pong time since anyone apart from his mother or father had hugged him, and he wasn't sure what to do. "you don't need to sit here mooning over me. Its not your fault you didn't understand but in the future please don't call me a girl, I'm trying to leave that part of me behind."
"Okay, I'm sorry I called you a girl. I'll call you a boy from now on, okay ?"
"Okay. Please would you use they/them pronouns because some people don't like it even even though it's the 1970's PEOPLE, LIVE A LITTLE AND GROW UP !!" Sirius screamed, visibly distressed. James put his arm around them and whispered something in their ear.
This seemed to calm Sirius down a little bit, and after getting a few sweets, the four of them hopped down off the train and walked over to the carriages waiting to take them to the school to start the new term.
