The Next Morning 7.30 am

By the time I got home last night, Dad was thankfully passed out on the couch. He had been sending me angry texts all day so I am probably going to cop it today.

I am already dressed for school because I want to get there early and talk to Ezra and I haven't seen Dad yet so hopefully he has already gone to work.

I grab my bag, my phone and keys and walk out of my room. I walk down the stairs and start walking towards the door until I hear footsteps behind me. I turn around and see him walking towards me.

"You came in late last night after I kept telling you all day to come home straight away" He says as he continues to walk closer.

"One of my best friends was just found murdered, I was at her funeral"

"All day?" He questions me.

"I have to go to school" I say as I turn around but he grabs my arm.

Next minute, he slaps me right across my face.

"Don't be late. Come home straight after school" He says as he lets go of me. I turn around and quickly open the door and run out.

I get in my car and start driving to school.

20 minutes later.

I finally arrived at school, I parked in the school parking lot. I look in the rearview mirror and see a red mark forming on my cheek and as well as a bruise as well. I try to cover it with a bit of makeup I had in my bag.

I get out of the car and start walking towards the front doors.

As I walk past the office, I pick up a transfer form and start walking towards his classroom. As I walk down the hallway which is almost empty, I notice Ezra slowly walking towards his classroom while reviewing his lesson plan.

"Can I talk to you?" I ask as I walk up to him. He looks up and smiles sweetly but then snaps out of it. He then looks around, we're alone.

"Of course," He says.

"I'd like to transfer out of your class" I say as the expression on his face reads surprise and disappointment.

A few students saunter down the hall. He opens the door to his classroom.

"Will you come inside, for just a minute?" He asks before I walk into the empty classroom and he follows behind, he shuts the door. "I understand where you're coming from, but I wish you could stay in the class"

"This isn't an easy decision, but I feel like it's the right thing to do"

"I can keep my feelings in check"

"I can't, And even if I could, I don't want to" I say as I look at him longingly. "It's too hard to sit in this room everyday and call you 'Mr Fitz.' I can't pretend like I don't know you" I say as I hand him the school form. "Will you sign it?"

He glances down at the document which reads: CLASS TRANSFER REQUEST

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure" I say as he reluctantly signs the paper. He then hands it back to me. "Thank you" I say as I smile at him.

I turn around and open the door and walk out. A lot more students have filled the hallway now. I see Spencer, Hanna and Emily all at their lockers. Next minute there's an announcement over the intercom.

"Will the following students please come to the office? Emily Fields, Aria Montgomery, Spencer Hastings and Hanna Marin"

We all look at each other as the first bell rings. All the students disperse to their classes, leaving only the four of us standing in the hallway. Together we start the long walk towards the office. My phone then dings and we all stop in our tracks. I pull my phone out and look at the screen.
