Unknown males POV:

(A few hours Earlier)
Walking into the banquet hall and a short-lived smirk crossed my face. ~well, well, well, I see the little princess is somewhat spoiled still.~ I cleared any disgust off my face and scanned the room; it was 9:45 pm. Still relatively early for a wolf ceremony, these lasted all night, and I had all night to put my plan into action. I did some light mingling for fifteen minutes while waiting for the damn princess to arrive at her party. How was I to lay my scent and work my potion before midnight if the female isn't even here?

My outside expression remained calm and relaxed, almost appearing to be enjoying myself. At the same time, my insides were torn, and my wolf was itching to meet the girl to make her mine. We had been working on this too long, and now the time was near; we both wanted to bare our teeth and pull the winch out from her spoiled little waiting game. She was making us wait; how ridiculous; we hadn't decided how yet, but we would make her pay for the time she had taken from us.

The door at the top of the stairs had opened during my brooding. Finally, the girl walked out. I turned to face it, my potion-infused wine in my hand. My eyes roamed her from her vibrant red hair, plump lips, and curves that made my dick twitch. A groan left my lips. I received a few stares from those around me, but my dominant glare made them look away and show submission. They wouldn't challenge me here, at least not unless they were Mal's true mate. A dark smile crossed my lips. I would happily kill anyone who dared to ruin my future. As she reached the bottom of the stairs, he parents welcomed her before dragging her to every available male with an alpha gene in this place. I gritted my teeth together, trying to withdraw the sharp fangs pushing to come out so we could tear the throats of those males looking at her.

Her parents saw me, and a nod passed from her father to me. I knew he wanted me to meet her again, this time as an adult, this time as potential mates. I put dominance into my walk and made sure to push those in my way out with just my aura. I arrived next to Alpha Ezekiel and greeted him like an old friend. "AAHH Ezekiel, I was hoping to pry you from your gorgeous family. How are you tonight, friend?" I reached out and grabbed his forearm, and he did the same to mine and raised an eyebrow, a crooked smile on his face. "Oh, don't be so rude; you know you are here to meet my daughter; you think I would allow you to forgo such an opportunity?"
A chuckle dared to slip my already upturned lips. "It appears I will not be able to miss such embarrassment tonight." I turned towards Maleri, bowing slightly to greet but not looking down as to show I am less. I outreached a hand to her, taking hers into mine. "Evening Princess Maleri, you look beautiful tonight, but I imagine with genes like yours, you always appear like so." I shot her a playful smile and kissed the top of her hand. Her face seemed Stoic or indifferent to what was going on. She just smiled a fake smile. "Why, thank you, sir. It's nice to meet you, but I really should mingle a little more before it is midnight. I hope to see more of you in the future." She said this, but her face wasn't showing as any of it being confirmed. She didn't even use my name; she didn't look at my face; she seemed to look through me. Without being able to say another word, she had taken off towards the wine. "Eh, she is a handful. You will have to figure out how to tame her better than we did if you truly plan on taking my spot and becoming her chosen mate." Her dad spoke as if saying something I didn't know. I took a sip of wine and mind-linked my beta, an alpha in his own right, but he knew my plan and wanted to be the beta of the universe rather than just another pack under my reign.

I gave him the go-ahead for the next step of our plan, and he approached my female as she rested against the wall. He dropped a few drops of a potion made only for her into her wine and cleared his throat to cover the sound of the droplets. I smiled at his success and continued talking to her father. We discussed future plans and hopes for the packs as a whole. After a moment, I looked to the dance floor to see a sight that brought my wolf to my eyes, turning them from their hazel to an amber color. My blood ran cold, and I stared as if I was a statue.
