It all made sense. Why my mother enjoys beating me, why she killed the officer.

My mother is a killer. She enjoys seeing people suffer and in pain.

I run up the stairs, to pack my belongings on to a small backpack my mother gave me before she turned into a phycopath.

"Let's go Avery!" My mother shouts from outside.

"Coming!" I shout back.

I run outside to where the van was. Mother had the backdoor open so I slipped in and buckled up. She gets into the driver seat and starts the car.

"Here are the rules.

1) if you try to escape you will be punished.

2) if you complain you are hungry you will be punished.

Got it?" She asks.

I nod a yes and she pulls out of the drive way and onto the road.

~ 10 minutes later ~

" shoot. We need gas. " my mother says

We she pulls into the gas station and pulls up to a pump.

" stay in here and don't move or make a sound. " she says.

" ok mother. " I say in return.

She gets out and goes around to pump the gas while I think of a way to escape.

If I get enough stuff from the back, I can lay it down on the seat to make it look like in sleeping. Then, when mother goes into the gas station to pay for the food and get the snacks, I can sneak out the trunk and run down the road to the little town I saw.

I get a bunch if pillows from the back and lay them down on the seats with a little blanket at the top, to make it look like my black, naturally straight hair.

Next, I go to the front and open the glove department and pull out mothers money. Theirs 100 dollars, so I will have enough for about 7 days. By then, I can get a job to pay for further expenses.

I look out the window to make sure my mother is still in the gas station. Good she just walked in. That should give me a 5 minute head start.

I open the back door and make sure no ones looking. I hop out, grab my bag and run. I run out of the parking lot and down the road.

As I run, there's one thing in my mind.

I'm free.
