Chantel's POV

Marcel called my phone, yelling at me about leaving the house when he got back. I don't know who this nigga think he is. Of course, he's my father, but he's only been here for a day and already acting like he's somebody. I couldn't believe the kind of person he was being. I wasn't about to tolerate him anymore.

"You need to bring your ass home, right now. You not grown yet!" Marcel said.

"Fuck you. You think you can run me because you're back in our lives? You got me fucked up." *Click*

"Thats that nigga, Marcel ain't it?" Sebastian said.

"Yeah. I can't believe he put his hands on me, then my mom just sat there and allowed the shit to happen. I can't stand both of them now." I said.

"You want me to end this nigga life right now?" Sebastian said.

"No, Sebastian. He's still my father. I can't let you do that." I said.

"I just don't like seeing you like this, Chantel." Sebastian said.

"I know, but I'm gonna be okay. Karma is a bitch, it'll come back around on him soon." I said.

"I feel you ma, So where you tryna eat at?" Sebastian said.

"Anywhere is fine, I don't care." I said.

"McDonalds it is." Sebastian said.

I know damn well this nigga did not just say McDonalds. I should slap his ass right now.

"McDonalds? Really nigga?" Chantel said.

"I'm playing ma, Chill." Sebastian said, laughing out loud.

"You better be." I said, punching his chest.

We pulled up in front of iHop because it was still early, and I think Sebastian didn't even eat breakfast. I didn't either, so I was starving. The waitress got our table, and gave us our menus. When we sat down, Sebastian grabbed my hand, and started rubbing on it, causing me to feel some type of way.

"Tell me about Chantel, and I'll tell you about me. You got my undivided attention. I'm listening to every word." Sebastian said.

"Well, I'm Chantel Johnson. I'm 18, and I'm going to be a Senior this upcoming school year. I was born and raised in Kansas City. I wanna become a Registered Nurse, like my mother. I've only had 1 boyfriend throughout my life, and we recently broke up like 2 months ago. Is there anything else you would like to know, Mr. Sebastian?" I said.

"Well, why did you and your ex break up?" Sebastian said.

"He was unappreciative. He started to become a different person, and I just got uninterested. Plus, I was moving anyway, so it all worked out fine. I'm assuming you don't have a girl, do you??" Chantel said.

"Nah, I don't. But I am interested in someone." Sebastian said.

Hearing him say that made my heart dropped. I wonder who it could be, being that I haven't known Sebastian for long and we already had sex, was a very bad look.

"And who that may be?" I said, trying to stay calm.

"I'm laying my eyes on her right now." Sebastian said, causing me to blush heavily.

"Shit, you must be feeling me to, cause of the way you're smiling." Sebastian said.

"No. You thought, nigga." I said, laughing out loud.

"Don't flex on me, girl. You know you want me. " Sebastian said, giving me the sad look.

"Whatever, Sebastian." I said, playing with the watch on his arm.

"Damn, is this a Rolex?" I said, looking amazed. I never been with someone who owned a Rolex. He's a spoiled child, I bet. I just hope he isn't stuck up, like one.

But, Let's be honest, I do like Sebastian. I mean who wouldn't? Which is why I'm very skeptical about him. If I was going to be with him, I would have to take my time and not rush anything. But as of now, I don't wanna be in a relationship with no one. I have too much on my plate right now, and especially with Marcel being back in the family tree, things aren't going as planned for me.

"You'll be strong. Now, enough about me, tell me about you." I said.

"I'm Sebastian Royal Jacobs. I just turned 18, and I'm a senior, too. I play football, as you can see. I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and raised in Atlanta when my mom was relocated to Atlanta to live with my Aunt, Grace. We stayed at her house until I was 3. My aunt was old, and started to become very ill, She died of Lung Cancer. She left a will to me and my moms, leaving us her home. But once we got it, my mom let her drug dealer boyfriend get in it, and he moved us out. So, my mom became a crackhead, leaving me behind at the age of 5 to my friends Rome and Mark's parents. They took me in, and at 10, they found my dad somehow. He took me in, and when I was 14, he died in an home invasion. So after he died, his best friend took me in and raised me from then on, and now I'm still with him. But I've really been on my own grinding, he just helps out every now and then because I like to be independent."

"Oh my goodness, that was more than my story. You've been through so much, Sebastian. Yet, you are still here today. You're a survivor." I said.

"I guess you can say that. I'm not proud of my story, but it sure is a hell of a good one for me to turn out the way I am now. I'm living good, eating good, shit I'm cool. I'm just trying to finish school, and get the fuck up out of here. I plan to be a Legitimate Businessman, or Entrepreneur someday. But I'm already starting off good as being that." Sebastian said.

"So, you're working now? What do you do?" I said.

"I help out with Johnny, my dad's best friend, doing some Office work. He has his own office, he does Advertising and stuff, so he hired me to work for him." Sebastian said.

"Sounds good. I need to find me a job, because I want to become independent as well. My mom just throws me money because of the new job she has, and I want to have money that I've earned myself for once." I said.

"I feel you. Ain't nothing like signing your own checks. Haha, thats for sure." Sebastian said.

"Yeah, that's true." I said.

We ate our meal, and chatted more about our lives. I was actually starting to like our bond we were having. Sebastian seems like a good boy, a boy I can bring around my mom. Outside of all of the drama that has erupted between us first meeting each other, he actually has a heart, Something I never thought of getting from any other boy.

"So, you ready to go back home?" Sebastian said.

"Not really, but I guess so. I just hope Marcel isn't there, cause I really don't wanna be around him." I said.

"He was wrong for putting his hands on you. And just for that, I'm coming with you. So, if he starts some mess with you, I'll be there to protect you." Sebastian said.

"That's sweet, but you don't have to, honestly. I'll be fine."

"No, hell nah. You didn't sound 'fine' on the phone to me. So, I'm gonna be there just in case if he act up. He ain't laying a finger on you, nor me. Father or not, I'll beat his ass. You deserve much better, Chantel. " Sebastian said.

"Thanks for caring, Sebastian. I'm just used to being on my own when it comes down to it." I said.

"Well, as long as I'm here, you don't have to worry. Now, lets go." Sebastian said.
