01: The mission

(Jungkook's P.O.V)

It was the dead of night. Completely pitch back. I could barely see anything.

I took out my two-way radio and got in my assistant. "Taehyung," I whispered. "You can give me the directions, now."

I could hear him nod from the other side of the radio. "Okay. Head straight forward. You will turn to the left, and into the alley. It's next to the abandoned bar."

I switched on my night-vision goggles, and I found my way into the alley. It smelled gross. Smokey.

"What now?"

"Now, go straight, then one left, then one right until you meet the fork."

I rushed quietly to the pathways. "Here. Which one do I take?" I asked him curiously. I looked around; there were three paths. No signs. I took off my night-vision goggles. I looked around. Nope. Nothing I can see. "Which one do I take?"

"I don't know! It doesn't say anything!"

I sighed. "It says nothing?"

"Hey, I wasn't the one who explored that place. Why not just pick one?"

I rolled my eyes. "Fine. But if anything happens to me, it's on you."

"Alright. But be very careful."

"Thanks, Tae. Bye."

After shutting it off, I stuffed it into my back pocket, and I gazed at my surrounding. I'm just going to hope they all lead to the same path...

I took a deep breath and walked onto the third path. I decided to jog along it to speed the time. Wasn't so bad. After a while, trees started appearing in my view. As the path led deeper, I realized I was in the woods, with mist all around. A very eerie feeling, indeed. I slowed down a little. "Spooky," I said.

I hear the hoot of an owl nearby. I jumped.

Maybe the woods are always like this.

I heard the howl of a wolf next. I shuddered. I rushed along the path. I hope I get there soon.

Eventually, I saw a small house somewhere within the trees. I was relieved. I walked deeper into the woods. Finally. I reached the house. It was apparently outside the woods.

I looked behind me. I was right. All the three paths leaded here. I wonder if one of them didn't trail into the woods. I picked up my radio again and said quietly, "I arrived. What next?"

"Good! You made it- go in and find the map to where he's hiding. That's all."

"Thanks."

I slowly opened the door. The place was really a mess. I made my way to a bedroom- where it was said where the map was.

I heard a loud creak.

I put my hand around my gn, and I was ready to take it out. Someone's here.

I peeked into the bedroom, and I saw a hooded figure. They made it before me! The person perked up, then jumped out the window.

"Hey!" I yelped. No, I'm not leaving without the map!

I quickly jumped out the window and I chased them. Gosh, they were fast.

"Hey, stop!!"

They never looked back, and they kept running. They kept trying to through me off their path, but it didn't work. But finally, it looked like they were starting to slow down.

I found my chance, and I practically jumped on them. They fell, and they were on the ground. Their hood also slipped off, to reveal a female face. Inky eyes, long raven-black hair, and dark crimson lips.

She almost glared at me until she noticed who I was.

My eyes widened. "Shuhua?"
