There was a girl and she wasn't alone... there was a boy.
The girl looked scared (which was the reaction I would have expected considering there was a gun held to her head). Of course, this is the first time I see another human in a few months and this is the situation I see them in.
I reached for the door handle. "Wait" Alis mouthed and grabbed my arm in an attempt to stop me.
"I have to help her"
"Please just wait... think... we don't know the whole situation. I know you miss humans... I do too, but don't rush into anything and get yourself hurt".
"Please... just trust me" I pleaded.
She reluctantly let go as I threw open the door and ran outside.
