Watchtower, Alternate Dimension. Time Unknown. Summer.
RUN.
That was the only thing Nightwing could think to do. He attempted to sprint past Superwoman, but felt a Vice grip on his shoulder.
"Not so fast!"
BIFF!
Superwoman cuffed him over the head. He dropped to the ground but popped up with a determined grunt. His escrima stick swings were too slow to catch her. She grabbed his wrist as it came down, smiling wickedly while cocking her other arm back.
PAP!
She slapped him across the face, causing a wad of blood to splatter against the steel walls. Nightwing stumbled a few steps back, his escrima sticks clattering across the ground. He grit his bloody teeth and pulled out a wingding.
FWEE!
Superwoman caught it and smirked at the vigilante.
"Cute."
Nightwing smiled, stained red flashing back at her.
FWOOMPH!
The wingding exploded in her face, knocking her back. Nightwing stuffed the device from the computer into his pocket and flung two more projectiles in her direction. These were concussive rather than explosive.
BRIING! BRIING!
She growled in anger, blinded by the hero's gadgets. The room she had been beating him in was now empty.
The Amazon levitated, her face twisted in anger.
WHOOSH.
The chase was on.
Watchtower, Alternate Dimension. Time Unknown. Summer.
Superwoman had scoured the watchtower for about two hours now. She was hot with impatience after the first fifteen minutes and had been boiling with anger since the first forty five. At this point she was nuclear. How could this inferior little human evade her for so long. The Amazon ignored the impulses of being impressed by her prey's ability to use the shadows to his advantage.
"I destroyed all of the escape pods before we were introduced." She yelled down the corridors.
"You're stuck here, with me. Might as well come out and..."
Her voice trailed off as she noticed a few spatters of blood leading into the one place she didn't double check.
Her bedroom.
How could she be so stupid?
The Amazon silently levitated into her place of rest. It was regal, paintings of herself in combat all over the room. Her bed was huge, triple the size of a king size mattress. And each corner had a Damnation Island-made column. Even the curtains were Amazonian and regal in origin.
She floated back to the ground, noticing a large lump under her sheets. With a sneer, she slammed her fist into the mass. The hologram fizzled as her hand went through it.
"Nice try." A voice quipped in her ear.
Nightwing jammed a taser into her neck, sending voltage down her body. It was upgraded from a standard model to take down metahumans. Gibberish erupted from Superwoman's mouth as she collapsed to a knee.
Nightwing drew back the taser and jammed it at her face, only to feel his momentum end. The Amazon squeezed his wrist until the weapon fell to the ground.
"That's going to cost you a rib." She said huskily.
Nightwing squirmed as her other hand moved to his side slowly. She placed her fingers and palm on his body. Then, she pressed down with her thumb on his third rib on the right.
