ELEXIA RUSHED TO her first period in a daze. She was so caught up with Rosalie that she didn't even realize it was time for class. Mr. Mason gave her a glare when she walked in a second before the bell rang.

She took her seat next to Bella, who gave her a confused look.

"Where were you?" The brunette whispered as she leaned in closer to her friend, who looked flushed.

"I'll tell you after school." Was all Elexia said before turning to the front of the class, looking at Mr. Mason as he began teaching.

When they caught up with Mike after class, all he could talk about was the beach trip he had planned. Bella and Elexia did their best to seem excited for it, but they really weren't.

Elexia's morning went by agonizingly slow as she awaited Chemistry class. The school days already dragged by for her; but now that she was so excited to see Rosalie, it seemed even longer.

Elexia anxiously picked at the skin on her hand as she, Bella and Jessica walked into the cafeteria. She wondered if Rosalie would be looking at her, or smiling with her siblings. Or would she be back to her serious-looking self? Jessica was babbling off to Bella about her plans for the dance, seeming to have forgotten she asked Elexia at all; which led the blonde to believe she was just a 'filler' date so Mike could see that she wasn't alone. Angela and the other girl asked Eric and Tyler; who said yes.

Elexia sighed when she saw that Rosalie wasn't at the Cullen-Hale lunch table at all. Alice, Edward, Emmett and Jasper were all talking amongst themselves.

For lunch, Elexia only got a water and an orange, feeling nauseous and unable to eat today.

"Rosalie Hale is staring at you again," Jessica said. "I wonder why she's sitting alone today."

Elexia was suddenly hyperaware of her surroundings as she scaled the lunchroom to find Rosalie smiling softly at an empty table in the back of the cafeteria. Elexia almost smiled when Rosalie lifted a hand and waved to her. Her smile grew into a grin when she saw Elexia's lips part in shock.

"Is she waving at you?" Jessica gaped and Elexia was almost insulted. "Rosalie Hale is the coolest girl in the school. She isn't friends with anyone, no one is good or pretty enough for her."

Elexia shrugged. "Maybe she needs help with Chemistry homework. I- I should go see."

Jessica stared daggers at the back of Elexia's head as she walked. All Jessica wanted at that school was to date Edward Cullen and be best friends with the rest of the family. She couldn't wrap her head around the fact that Rosalie seemed to like Elexia Reedus, of all people.

"Hi, Lex." Rosalie smiled, motioning for her to sit in the seat across from her. "Sit with me."

Elexia sat without a word.

"This is interesting.." Elexia awkwardly smiled.

Rosalie chuckled softly and the sound reminded Elexia of honey - if honey had a sound. "I think your friends are angry with me for stealing you."

"I'm surprised they care," Elexia sighed and turned to glance for a moment at her usual lunch table. Sure enough, they were all staring at her. Bella had the most confused expression on her face.

"I may not give you back, though," she said, with a look in her eyes that Elexia couldn't quite place.

Elexia didn't say anything, she just... stared.

Rosalie laughed. "If that's okay with you."

Elexia nodded slowly. "What brought this on?"

"I told you - I can't stay away from you anymore. So I'm giving up." That smile never left her face. It was so beautiful it almost pained Elexia to keep looking at it.
