You stand against the wall of an old apartment building as you look out of the window at a tower of worker drone corpses, possibly some kind of nest and if that were true that would mean there is a team of disassembly drones active in the area that have been here for a while. . . At least there's plenty of scrap metal for you to use, maybe there is a chance you could come out with a significant haul of spare worker drone parts.
It is now coming upon the second hour of looking over the tower of mechanical carcasses, it was night so the disassembly drones were most likely out on the hunt. Though uncertain in their numbers and current locations you had decided to perform some reconnaissance before openly setting foot near their nest to look for any potential salvage.
Suddenly you hear something through the wind and falling Snow off in the distance, metallic and hydraulic in nature. . . A bunker of some kind possibly, if that was the case you were either watching an abandoned nest or there were worker drones sealed in a facility not too far away from the tower of their kin.
Your curiosity had piqued as you moved away from the window and out into a hallway, readjusting the hood to your coat as you approached a large hole in the wall. You jumped and extended your wing constructs to glide and land into the snow covered ground of the alleyways, between the partially crumbling abandoned buildings you quietly proceeded through the snow and into the street as you looked around for any signs of significance. That's when something catches your eyes as they shift from their normal blue to a slightly glowing yellow, Footprints in the snow and fresh ones at that. . . Looking to your left you can see a large hydraulic door in the distance, the Footprints led away from it and towards the tower. The size were comparable to that of a worker drone. . .
Y/n: Interesting. . .
You spoke to no one in particular as you started following the footprints in predatory matter, stalking the snowy path between the door and the tower in the relative distance. It doesn't take long for a figure to come into view, a worker drone with black clothing and purple hair and some sort of rifle on her back. . . Does she intend to fight the disassembly drones by herself, hmust be a pretty fucking good rifle if they are that confident in approaching a nest of all things. Like a sheep entering a lion's den. . . Time to say hi. . .
You pick up the pace using their Footprints to step in to muffle your movement, stalking up to about four and a half feet behind them. You lunge forward as yourflitail takes the front, the magnet latches onto the Firearm with a quick and noticeable click. Your tail flicks upwards ripping the rifle from their back and into the air as the magnet releases its hold at the apex, you reach out with both arms and clutch their left arm firmly as you spin clockwise placing your back to the drone's.
???: WHAT THE-
You pulled the arm up your head and pulled as you leaned far forward as you
threw them flat backed into the snow as they looked up at you, you looking down on them in turn as your faces were clearly visible to each other.
