The Beginning of The Facade

Don't be afraid when you see third person my book is not entirely in third person, you will get to see into the minds of our main characters, only a few characters may be in third. Thank you again for giving my book a shot.

Third person POV

  

Everything was going well and great in Isabella's life,but all of that changed once her Father died when she was 11, Isabella was always close to her father, so when she and her mum got a phone call that  James Mathews plane crashed and he didn't survive, she was instantly broken. Her mother on the other hand well let's just say, she really didn't love her husband, actually their marriage was arranged between their parents, rich daughter from a influenced family marries a rich son from another but more highly influenced family, just to form alliances and strengthen their companies. So she wasn't as saddened by the news as Isabella was, actually she was quite relived, even though James was a good man,treated her well was a faithful husband and amazing father, that wasn't enough for Laura, she saw James and Isabella as both burdens, and so she thought one burden gone, the only reason she ever stayed with James was cause she knew she could live an amazing lifestyle without doing anything, sadly upon hearing of her husband's death that's the only thing that crossed her mind, what was going to happen to her amazing lifestyle.

   A few weeks after hearing the news James Mathews was buried, during those weeks Isabella cried everyday and barely ate a thing, of course her mother didn't care she was just trying to find out what was in her husbands will, the only person that was there for Isabella was her maid Maryanne, she's been there since Isabella was born and was more of a mother to her than her actually mother was, Isabella would have truly been alone with out her. The burial was filled with so much grief, and well fake grief as well, Isabella's despite for her mother grew more as she saw her fake tears falling from her mother's face she was young but wasn't a fool. Precisely after a week of the burial the will was reviled, Laura, James Mother and Sister were all seated, of course Isabella couldn't join cause she was too young, the will relived that James left the whole company for his daughter, a few shares for his mother and sister, and a few cash and properties for Laura, but since William Mathews (James father) is deceased, there is no one to run the company since Isabella was still young, of course Laura already scheming something in her mind, suggested that she and Jasmine ( James sister) both run the company in the main time, they all agreed and that was quite a horrible mistake.

Four years later
    Four years after the whole agreement went down let's just say Laura's plan feel into place, her status in society was still high, she made sure she kept it that way, especially pretending to love Isabella in front of the public while she doesn't even give her a second glance behind close doors. Isabella always tried to be the best and perfect daughter for her mother during the years, was a straight A student, got best overall student in her school every year, became a master at piano, smiled for the flashing cameras, whatever she was told she did it but still it wasn't enough, soon enough Isabella gave up trying to win her mother's love, but of course she didn't want to aggravate the woman that was taking care of her against her will, so she still did what ever she was told. One day when  Isabella got home from school she was greeted with an astonishing news, seating right next to her mom on the sofa was a man she has never met before, well soon to her knowledge after the news was announced by her mother that man was about to be her stepfather, Fredrick Kingsley was his name. Remember Laura's plan this is it over the years Laura was able to convince other share holders to sell their shares to her, which she later on after the marriage will put it in the hands of Fredrick, who was a Master degree holder in business, they both planned to take over the company little by little, but Laura's main priority was living that amazing lifestyle with out lifting a finger yet again, and with Fredrick she could do just that, she was able to convince the family of her marrying Fredrick with her whole they are in love facade, but of course Isabella wasn't convinced the only thing she was actually convinced of was that her mother wasn't capable of loving anything else apart from money.
     Laura still ended up marrying Fredrick,the company actually climbed back up, it wasn't at the same level James left it but it was rising,and this impressed the board and the public,Laura made the public assume with Fredrick her family became happy once again, but that was one giant lie. Isabella thought her life was hell before well it all got a lot worse with Fredrick around. He always criticized and found something wrong with everything Isabella did always fed Isabella with lies, like they were doing her a favour keeping her in their house that her father left nothing for her, that he never loved her or cared for her he only saw her as a mistake, that she should be grateful that him and Laura haven't thrown her on the street, that he was the new owner of Mathews LTD( keep in mind that Laura never shared any of the will details to Isabella), and she should know her place or she will have nothing. From words of discouragement, to abusive self esteem absorbing statements, to painful physical punishments when ever she decided to speak up, it never got better it just kept getting worse as months past, the fear that has sunk into her skin never allowed her to speak up again even when she wanted to even when she wanted to scream so loud till she lost her voice, she stayed silent, and just decided to hide her reality behind a facade, a facade that she and her life was perfect.
