♡My Pov♡
As usual like every other year, the great hall would be full of students from the different houses. We would have a sorting for the first years and a good feast. Dumbledore would do his speech and then we would all go back to our common rooms. It was second nature to me now, I loved Hogwarts and Dumbledore wasn't that bad I suppose. He had something against Slytherin definetly.
I took a seat on the sofa in the Slytherin Common room and just took a moment to breathe. "Riddle" A familiar voice said. I looked over to the voice and saw my best friend Penny standing there. "Hey Penny" I said smiling at her. "Hey, mind if I take a seat?" Penny said gesturing to the place beside me. I shook my head smiling and she sat next to me.
"So I've heard this year is going to be interesting" Penny began. I looked at her, "How so?" I said tilting my head confused. "Well for starters our potions professor is quite famous here at Hogwarts" Penny said grinning. "Potions Master?" The prefect said as he overheard our conversation. I looked over to our Slytherin prefect Blake. "His name is Professor Slughorn" Blake said grinning. "Cool" I said not knowing who this man was.
We chatted some more about the excitement of having a famous potions master as our potions professor then went up to the girls dormitory. As usual my bed was near Penny's so we could have late night chats when we weren't tired but tonight I felt exhausted for some reason. "I'm going to get my pyjamas on and just get into bed tonight" I explained to Penny. She nodded yawning, it seemed she was equally as tired. I changed into my pyjamas then got into bed. As I suspected I fell straight into a deep slumber.
"Wake up!" Penny shouted. I nearly fell out of bed from the fright. "Moron" I muttered as she laughed. "We have class soon" Penny said rushing over to her bed. "What?" I said yawning. "Defense against the dark arts" Penny sighed as she noticed me yawn. "Get up!" Penny said throwing a pillow at my head. "Hey!" I whined at her. Penny ignored my whining, I sighed and got out of bed changing into my Slytherin robes. I wanted to look a little different compared to everyone else this year. (Look above)
After getting ready and walking out of the girls dormitory. I headed downstairs to the common room where Penny was waiting for me. "Wow you look gorgeous" Penny said checking out my outfit. "Thankyou" I said chuckling. We then left the common room and went straight to defense against the dark arts. Everyone knew by now not to get attached to the dark arts teacher as they would just leave due to the dark arts curse apparently set by my father actually.
We arrived and we were also 5 minutes late. Delphine was sat on the front, We rushed to our seats and the class went quiet staring at us and so did our professor. Delphine rolled her eyes at my tardiness then turned to the front again. I rolled my eyes back at her, I felt eyes on me so I looked around and noticed Draco grinning at me. Ahh we was back in Hogwarts now, not with my father. This was the place where Draco was feared by many students and loved by pretty much every Slytherin except Penny and me. He was a cocky boy I'd give him that.
I stuck my tongue out at him and rolled my eyes. I already could tell his cockiness had gotten stronger, I felt an aura from him. I decided to ignore it for now and focus on the professor who was already not happy that me and Penny were late to the class. The class flew by luckily and so did the others. We finally were able to go to the great hall and have our lunch before the next classes commenced which I'm sure were hogwarts history and muggle studies.
(I'm making it so muggle studies is a thing whether you like it or not).
I took a seat next to Penny who already had her food. "So did I ever tell you that I'm dating?" Penny asked me awkwardly. "Nope, no reason to be awkward about it. I think I can guess who it is anyway" I said grinning at her. Penny looked at me confused, the great hall doors opened revealing Draco, Blaise, Pansy, Crabbe and Goyle. Penny blushed as she noticed them. "You are so dating Blaise Zabini" I said chuckling at her. Penny blushed further, "I knew it!" I shouted laughing. That caught their attention though.
