(just to show how much i procrastinate on this shit, i started this chapter when tighnaris banner first dropped.)

Your heavy boots softly crunched some leaves beneath you, fall was on the horizon, so leaves littered the ground. You were looking for the forest ranger, Tighnari as you needed assistance in dealing with a withering zone nearby. It was just too large for one person to tackle. As you approached the area him and Collei are usually stationed at. You soon spotted said small green haired female, waving excitedly at you, you ran over to her almost falling in the process.
You two hug, concerningly tightly, as you caught up you completely forgot about the withering zone until you saw Collei begin physically reacting to it. You panicked and grabbed her shoulders with care, making sure not to hurt her as you asked, "Collei where's Tighnari and we'll take care of the withering". Collei meekly nodded over to one of the small huts in Gandharva Ville where Tighnari usually is caring for a patient.
You melt into the ground, becoming electro particles as you quickly went to the house. "TIGHNARI!" You exclaimed bursting through the door. Alarmed, Tighnari's ears drooped for a moment before he noticed it was you, for once he wasn't tending to any patients it was just him in his hut, papers scattered about. "What's the situation?" He asked concern evident in his voice. You were never a loud person, nor were you ever really frantic, you coming into his home in such a frantic manner made him concerned. You grabbed him swiftly and rushed towards the withering zone.
You coughed as you came within the withering zone, Celestia above it was massive. Tighnari gasped at its size, before inhaling and exhaling deeply and nodded towards you. You two rushed towards the ruin enemies both unleashing your elemental bursts, "One with the forest!" "Perish, weaklings!"
Tighnari's arrows assisted you as you swung your polearm around you had to strike them a few more times than unleash your elemental skill and they would become nothing but a pile of old machine parts. As you struck them for the tenth time... "Disperse!" You wiped some sweat from your brow ignoring the minor wounds you had as you trekked on, towards the source of the problem. When you found it, you were shocked to find Ruin guards, graders, hunters, etc. You decided you would take them out as Tighnari took out the source of the issue. You signaled to him the plan and he nodded, seemingly reluctantly that is.
You lunged forward unleashing your elemental burst you had enough energy for, "HA! Fear overwhelming power!" The ruin opponents turned towards you, their gears winding loudly, and they rushed towards you. You ducked and rolled swinging ten times before smirking to yourself as you unleashed your elemental skill after the grouped up around you. "Unworthy."
You wiped your mouth of blood before hearing more whirring, you whipped around, seeing a bunch of ruin hunters in the air pumping their bombs up, your eyes widened narrowly dodging most of the bombs until a swarm of bombs cascading down with nowhere to go you were helpless as the bombs hit you, hard. Crying out in pain as all of your wounds hurt like searing needles within your skin. As you attempted to recover, they kept coming at you, swinging at you and slicing open your skin easily. Crimson seeped from many places on your body as you continued to shout out in agony.
Tighnari looked over, his eyes widened as he quickly sniped them out of the air, you gasped loudly to keep your pain in check as you unleashed one last burst. "Feel the searing power of agony!" You barely got out ten strikes of your normal attack before finishing them off completely with, "Experience my reckoning!"
You panted heavily, barely able to stand from the immense pain. Every cell of you wanted to shut your eyes and rest, but you knew that would likely mean you'd never see Tighnari or Collei again. You would never see Tighnari's ears perk up at seeing you, you'd never give Collei writing lessons, you'd just be gone, forever. You and Tighnari slowly arrived back at Gandharva Ville, it was a long tedious process Collei soon noticed you two had returned and smiled widely before she noticed the state you were in, she then rushed over to you two, panicking saw the injuries you had sustained. Everything was a little bit blurry for you as the two carried you to the area you had just been in earlier today.
Your vision was extremely blurry and as the two treated your wounds your eyes began to droop causing Tighnari to notice swifly grabbing your hands. "Please, stay awake for a little while longer" You nodded weakly as barely kept your eyes open and after what felt like ages of the two running about Tighnari held your face, gently touching his forehead to yours and muttering, "You can get some rest now, you deserve it" You smiled as you let your eyes flutter closed. Tighnari smiled lovingly at you before sitting back down to where he had been earlier.
