The hall met with echoing sound of collective claps, applauds & appreciations. She is smiling today at me, herself & at us. I am so blessed to have her in my life. It's a big day for her, I still remember the first meeting of ours, every nanosecond of her's

Like any passionate person, I also had an urge to do something creative, I wanted to be a director, but my choice of film making, was not about love fictions, bollywood actions or somewhat like Sholay. I was & am still now, an admirer of realities of the society, so I chosed my first subject for the documentary project-----
"THE PROSTITUTE WORLD", that was hell of a passionate subject but at the same time, it was dangerous too. I decided to take the initiative & somehow, got a permission to shoot the lives of Prostitutes. I was on my way, when i saw something, I decided to jump out of the car & fulfill my curiosity, well it stole my gaze

I stepped to the shop, & my eyes witnessed a girl whose face was wrapped all over with black cloth with proper care, just leaving a small plot of face where her eyes were,
the big-big, no no, extra-extra big lashes & a slight movement of them, brought a rush of beats in my heart. The best thing about them, they were not just eyes, "THEY WERE HER EYES!"
A slight movement of lashes played hide-n- seek with her orbs, but she didn't give a damn to my face.. my eyes then fell on the very thing which made me curious "What are you trying to do, mam?" Asked the shopkeeper, but instead she narrowed her eyes, put her hand carefully in the bird cage n brought one out carefully, placed it in her hand & smiled from her eyes..

"Ud jao! Ud jao! Maine de diye paise!" She winked, an innocent one.

But to her misfortune, the bird didn't make a slight movement even, so she placed it on table nearby where other birds were already chirping, in freedom, "Madam, ye chidiyan udti nahi hai, pinjre mein rakhte hai inhe!" The shopkeeper pleaded, making efforts to handle the mess she created by letting around 20-25 birds free, she picked an another one, & placed carefully on her left palm,

"Fly fly! Please fly! Trust me..... it's a big big sky!" She encouraged d little soul

But hopelessly, it also made no movement, but a moment later, the bird, fluttured its wings & flew a foot, then with the effort the distance widened, widened & the next second it was in the sky,

"aansman mein jao, sab kuch dekhna, sab kuch, koi ni pakdega ab! Koi ni!" She shouted to her little yellow friend & her eyes widened in awe,
My lips curved unknowingly seeing that, well I don't know why,
But "THEY WERE HER EYES!"
They were hiding more than what they were smiling to the world.

"Mam, u have tried ur flying experiment on all birds, so please can you help me with this mess u have created, " the shopkeeper made a long face, trying to look for the birds in the hidden corners,

"Chu-chu-chu-chu, chu-chu-chu" she called them, & in minutes, many came out of holes, leaving d shopkeeper in awe,
'Can I get a box?" She asked
"Put them in d cage, take it" he replied,

"Udna sikhana hai, zameen mein dab kar marna nahi" her eyes replied audaciously,
She took a corner of her stole, & spread it properly, in the little area she widenened with her hands, "chu-chu-chu" she called yet again,
the birds marched to the stole, she filled around 26 in a go, the black stole, in a moment, turned to a breathing rainbow,"

"Rang-biranga" she giggled, narrowed her eyes yet again, n counted the birds still left in cage, "bas thode din" she kinda promised them,

"Chu-chu-chu-chu" she sang & stepped to a street, n I stood there like a statue, unaware of her reasons, but
Her eyes!
