chapter 2
"Where can I possibly go. Sammi's on vacation and Ashley is visiting his parents.... I know! Jake!" Jeremy got out his phone and found Jake's number.
"hey man what's up?"he heard to voice across the line say.
"hey man, you doing anything?"
"no not really, just watching batman with Andy, you wanna come over?"
"OK I'll be over in 5, see you later."
he cut the phone and started walking to Andy's house. he had never told them about his dad beating him and he didn't have any plans of doing so. of coarse he felt bad keeping something like this from them especially because they were the closest people he could call family, but it was for the best. he finally arrived at Andy's and knocked at the food. he could hear the television from outside and Andy screaming at Jake to go get the door. Jake opened the door and led Jinxx in as quietly as possible apparently, a new episode of batman was on. they walked to the kitchen and sat down at the island table.
"you DON'T look like yourself Jinxx, is everything OK?" Jake asked clearly realising that Jinxx had puffed eyes from crying.
"I'm OK, its just that I didn't sleep well tonight" he said forcing a thin smile
Jake smiled back suspiciously. he got up and patted him gently on the back. Jinxx flinched at this because of the sore wound on his back and Jake must have noticed this because he gave him a suspicious look.

"what's wrong?"he asked moving up to him again.
"nothing bro ... "
"JINXX WHATS WRONG ?" Jake said more sternly now "what do you have on your.... " he must have gotten a blimps of the scar since it started from his neck. he pushed Jinxx into the bathroom and almost tore off his shirt revealing the bright gash on his best friend's back. "who thefuck did this to you ?!" he demanded.
Jinxx remained silent. he didn't want to tell Jake because he knew that he would panic and that was the last thing he wanted.
"WHO DID THIS TO YOU JINXX?!" at this point Jeremy wanted to burst out crying and Jake must have noticed this because he turned him around and pulled him into a tight bear hug. Jake sighed. he didn't want to push Jinxx but he DID want to help him. "cry it out bro" and at that point jinxx's face was wet with tears. he hugged Jakes tight and cried and cried and cried untill Jake's shirt was also wet.
finally he stopped and wiped his tears with the back of his hand. he cleared his voice and told Jake everything that was happening at home.
at the end of the 'story' he burst out crying again but this time he cried so much that his chest hurt. he felt like he was going to have a heart attack. he held his chest where his heart was and bent forward in pain. he felt like he was going to be sick but luckily he managed to keep it in.
Jake felt useless at thus point because all he could do was hug his band mate. he could figure out anything he could say to comfort him.
