How we meet (errormare)

Chapter one

In the past Dream and Nightmare used to protect a tree, specifically the tree of feelings, on the tree, there were two sides of apples, on the left side there was positive apples and on the right side, there was negative apples.

The tree was situated on a hill near a village, where Dream was loved and cared for, for his positive apples, but the villagers neglected and bullied Nightmare because they thought he was evil, since he protected the negative side of the tree.

Nightmare would usually hide in the branches of the tree, while protecting it on his own, without his brother, since he was helping the villagers.

The villagers would usually distract dream or get him lost in the forest, near the village, while he was 'looking' for some herbs, the villagers would go to the negative side of the tree, to find Nightmare and hurt him, as well as insult him, even though he was just doing his job.

Nightmare had a book that he was very fond of and would read over and over again and when he was bored he would  stare at the sky and stargaze for hours until he fell asleep.

By the time he woke up, his brother would already be gone without saying any good morning to him. But he would be used to it by now.

One day, Nightmare was thinking of what would happen if he took an apple from Dreams side of the tree, and if he was able to hold an apple from his brothers side, then maybe the villagers would stop hurting and insulting him so much.

While he was staring at the positive side, he didn't notice some villagers were walking up behind him, but by the time he did he was pushed to the ground, while the villagers were looking at him with a smirk on their faces.

Nightmare, soon stood up and went to grab a positive apple, not knowing what would happen if he bite into it, but the villagers forced him to bite the apple and swallow the piece that was bitten off.

In just a few seconds he started to feel a sudden pain all around his body and started to vomit a black gooey substance. In a few minutes a couple more villagers started to crowd around Nightmare, while Dream was trying to calm the crowd, unknown to him that his brother was being corrupted.

After a few minutes of pain, Nightmare shouted a scream of pain because some gooey tentacles started sprouting from his back and his body was beginning to be covered in this gooey substance, until only a single cyan eye was left staring, menacingly at them with a killing intent and thirst for blood and chaos, little did they know that the panic and fear in the crowd is what made Nightmare stronger by the minute, since he feeds on Negativity and fear. Due to being in his corrupted form, he no longer feels mercy towards others and because of his new powers, he can control the dream scape and give a person Nightmares more terrifying than the last, as well as absorb the negativity and fear to get stronger.

Due to this Nightmares LV went higher and he took this as an opportunity to kill everyone who wronged him and so he killed all the villagers, while trapping his brother in stone for the next 200 years.

While his brother was stuck, he gained the ability to travel through AUs (alternative universes) and formed a gang filled with a cannibal, a killer, a phycopath and a monochrome coloured  warrior.

This gang he made consist of Horror, Killer, Dust and Cross, who came from a broken AU, where they were starved, tired of the resets and commited a genocide, killed everyone in the underground and was controlled to kill everyone he loved and was put in a endless void.

Nightmare made the gang, so they could spread Negativity and fear around all the copies of the original AU,  where they can't attack.

He soon found out his 'brother' was released from his stone prison, and Nightmare wasn't happy about that, what made him madder was that his 'brother' joined the creater and an underswap version of the original, which they call themselves the 'star sans'.

So everytime his gang went to cause chaos, the star sans would fight fight them and send them back to the castle with scars and bruises.

The gang and their "king" Nightmare started planning on how to get rid of the star sans, which was starting to annoy them, especially this one time Ink said to Nightmare in the face, "that he can't be a king without a queen." Know this made Nightmare mad and even when he was on his throne and just thinking, this sentence was stuck in the back of his mind and very much annoyed him at some point, until one day.
