When I first got my job as THE Shakespeares personal assistant I was beyond excited. I thought "wow! How amazing is it that I get to work for the most famous bard in all of England!" Now I realised...

He's kinda a prick.

He's always marching around, flaunting off his remarkably written poems, it's so annoying.
I can't believe people like him, if they spent just ONE day-

Three knocks come from the door.

"May I come in?"

Before I can answer the door swings open and Shakespeare walks into the room.

"What is it?" I say, slightly peeved.

"Well I need some help, and you do work for me, am I correct?" He raises his eyebrow and smirks.

"Yes..."

"Alright then" he sets a pile of pages on the table and pushes them towards me. "Do these look ok?"

I read through the lines on the page infront of me.

Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.

My bounty is as boundless as the sea,
My love as deep. The more I give to thee,
The more I have, for both are infinite.

So are you to my thoughts as food to life,
Or as sweet-seasoned showers are to the ground...

I stop reading as I feel my cheeks start to redden. These aren't written about me, why do I feel like this? Do I like him?

"Is everything alright?" Shakespeares says noticing that I had stopped reading.

"Yes! They're good, of course they are!" "They always are." I mutter the second part under my breath.

He smirks and looks down at me, I look up and realise he's now leaning on the table.

"I consider myself quite a romantic you know?" He says with a smile on his face, leaning slightly closer to me.

I slowly push the pages back to him with an awkward smile on my face.

He breathes in and sighs as he stands up straight.

"Well, y/n... would you like to accompany me to my study, perhaps we can... come up with some more... ideas." He looks me up and down for a few seconds.
