           My alarm goes off. shoot. I pop out of bed and look at my clock. 10:26. Shoot I'm going to be late. I jump out of bed and throw on my Red dress and run out the door.

"Rosethorn this is the 5th time you've been late this MONTH alone."

"I'm sorry sir it's just..." I say sadly
"My grandmother isn't doing well" I say a tear glittering in my eye.  Soon I have many tears falling down my green skin.

"I'm sorry Rosethorn  just don't let it happen again and get out there" yesssss.

"Thank you sir" I say

I run out to the flower fields and Begin picking flowers

"ROSETHORN" I here behind me I jump up causing me to cut my finger on a rose and fix my posture. I turn around only to see my friend and colleague Mäple

"You have to stop doing that mape"

"Why?  You scared? Let me guess you pulled another sob story on big guy"

"Yep" I respond

"Elladon Rosethorn" she says in a strict mom tone

"What I was up late I respond y'know practicing"

"Ella you have to be careful about that. You know what will happen if someone even merely suspects something."

"I know I know'' I say
"Don't worry I've been careful" I add

Finally peace and quiet. I was sitting on my bed in my small house. I spent my last copper pieces on this house. I wish I had more gold I mean mäpel would probably spare me some gold pieces if I needed but I don't want to use her like that.

I get up and peek out my door and look both ways, there's no one there. I head back into my house and lock the door. Then I go over to my bed and reach under neath till I find it. I pull out a book titled "Edible And Inedible Flowers" I then sit on my bed and open it. Underneath the flower filled cover was a dark brown and old water damaged cover that didn't say anything. It was quite obvious that this was an old spellbook.

I could still feel my head pounding and the world spinning around me. I got the shivers just thinking about it. I still had the scar but that day was important bc then I found this, a book to finally teach me the ways of a wizard. It was my dream to be able to cast spells make rainbow lights. But there was one issue they outlawed wizardry within wood elf's years ago... That's why I ruined my favorite book, to keep me safe.
