"Welp, a shoot out wasn't something I expected today..."
The roaring bullets cut the air fiercely as the men in black aimed their rifles. Adriano, his younger brother, Aurelio Bianchi, their servant and their two bodyguards were stuck behind a flipped car, shielding themselves from the ensuing chaos.
Aurelio was panicking, hyperventilating and almost on the verge of tears. He was only 16 after all.
"Could you lower your voice a bit as your freaking out?" Unlike the others, Adriano was cool and collected. His face showed no emotions. His brother glared at him.
"D-Do you not get the situation we're in?!" He felt like hitting his older brother.
"Very much so. Dad's made enemies again... how typical," Adriano sighed. "It's not like we can do much, is there?"
They were ambushed in a relatively busy street on upside New York. Adriano was honestly impressed by the criminals' boldness.
The men in black closed the gap between them, getting ever so closer. The sounds of bullets got louder.
Aurelio was now really freaking out. "Make it stop! I can't stand it any longer!" He covered his ears as he looked at his older brother, tears dripping from his eyes.
Adriano groaned. He hadn't wanted to get involved, he though letting the whole thing play out was the best way to end it. But something about his brother crying made him act. He thought that maybe it was pity.
"Give me your gun," He held out his hand to his brother.
"H-Huh? You're... not going to... Right?!" Aurelio looked at him with wide eyes.
"Your gun, I said," Adriano wanted this to end.
Reluctantly, Aurelio gave his brother his pistol. Adriano knew he wasn't going to be able to take down the men with a flimsy gun such as this one. He'd evaluated that there were 4 men, based on the intensity of the bullets and the sound of their feet as they closed in. Not only that, but based on their firearms' unique sound he immediately recognized that the guns were [model name idk], produced only by a specific manufacturer. He didn't just know how many people were attacking him and how, he also knew who had sent them. Yet, he guessed his chances were slim, he wouldn't have stood a chance one-on-four.
So he did the next best thing. Scoping the area around him he found multiple escape opportunities and objects he could utilize to his advantage. The one that caught his eye the most though was the oversized sign with a real-estate company on it. Score.
After waiting for their ammunition to end, Adriano stood up.
"Are you mad?!" His little brother couldn't believe how much of a fool he was. Even the bodyguards were concerned.
Adriano ignored them, his face still emotionless. He didn't know fear.
He aimed his gun to the chain holding up the sign. "Come on now..." The wind made it hard for him to aim perilously. He heard the sound of the goons' guns being reloaded, he ran out of time. He took the shot, a miss.
Damn!
He ducked behind the car once more. His brother looked at him as he were crazy.
"Stop taking such gables, you shouldn't play with Death!" He laid his head back to the car. "You seriously stop underestimating him..." He muttered.
"He should do the same with me," He got up once more, this time he wouldn't miss.
He aimed his pistol at the sign. Pow! A clean hit. The heavy sign fell and slammed against the men, knocking them out. The wind gave a helping hand this time, Adriano had learnt how to guess its movements.
