A New Shift

The Portal...

Frisk was scared, they had just run away from their home and started running into the Tobet cave, a cave that was said to be a place with no return.

Frisk had nothing with them other than their clothes, and they were really starting the wish they'd brought their phone with them to light up the cave they were in.

They weren't scared of the dark, but as the darkness kept growing and shadows cut deeper, Frisk was starting to feel uneasy.

Eventually, they saw a source of light from around a corner and what Frisk saw befuddled them. There was a purple vortex surrounded by an intricate golden frame, a portal, Frisk concluded.

On the golden frame were 7 coloured circles, Orange, Blue, Cyan, Green, Red, Yellow and Purple, each a different soul colour.

Frisk was very suprised at what they saw, they had seen magic used before, but nothing could compare to how fantastical this portal thingy infront of them looked.

Frisk took a step towards the portal, they got a closer look and tried to see if there was anything in the portal.

Nothing.

It was actually as if light itself was being sucked into the portal, even though it was emitting it in the first place.

Frisk pulled their hair off their right eye where it usually sat to take a better look at the portal. Another step.

Frisk felt drawn to the portal, literally, the portal was physically pulling them towards it.

Frisk tried to take a step back but it was too late. They were being drawn even harder than before, it was as if the portal was consious that Frisk was their and was trying to take them.

Frisk started to panic, quickly turning around and trying to run away from the portal. Slowly but surely Frisk was moving away from the portal before they considered their circumstances.

They were now homeless and without anyone they could rely on, what were they going to do after they escaped the portals grasp?

Besides, It's not like what was beyond the portal could be much worse than what they already went through.

With these thoughts going through Frisk's head, they completely stopped resisting the pull of the portal.

Which they then realized was a huge mistake as they were flung at a very high speed towards the portal and sucked in the portal.

Frisk was booted out of the other side of the portal, and got flung into an extremely hot flat surface. 

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Frisk screamed out in pain, the left side of their face felt like it was about to burn off.

They immeadiately pulled their face away from the wall and started rolling around in pain.

"Owie-Owie-Owie-Owie-Owie! HOT! HOT! IT BURNS! EEP!" 

Right below Frisk's left eye all the way down to their chin was burning to the third degree.

Frisk started looking around frantically, trying to find something, ANYTHING, that might be able to stop the unbearable pain.

Frisk spotted near on of the walls a sectioned off body of water. Without thinking Frisk immeadiately dove head first into the water to cool their face off.
