Lindsey's P.O.V.
I got fed up with waiting on Kagome and the others, so I decided to walk on my own. I do better on my own anyways. It's starting to get colder everyday now. Fall is coming. Great, just my luck. Well there's no turning back now.
I tread my way through the forest. My black combat-boots crunching on fallen leaves and twigs. I had changed my appearance to it's original form. Before I had to leave to protect Stacey.I hear nothing but the rustling of trees as the wind blows by and the distant sound of birds chirping somewhere nearby.
It has been three weeks since I left the group and I have fought a few demons along the way. What's interesting though is that I keep on sensing Sesshomeru's sent and another sent that's really familiar, and yet it's not, at the same time. The sent is not very strong though. I keep walking anyways.
Stacey's P.O.V.
Rin and I are at the edge of a stream. I'm cleaning the clothing and Rin is catching some fish. When I got done I put the clothing basket off to the side and watch Rin as she reaches into the water.
She reminds me of a statue I once saw back at home. 'Home. The one place I can't go back to.' I thought glumly then looked down into the water at my reflection. I look so different from the old me. I've changed a lot since me, Lindsey, and Zack got here.
'I wonder how they are doing right now?' I thought then cup my hands in the water and washed my face. I reach beside me, with my eyes closed, for something to dry my face with. I was confused when I felt something being placed into my hand. I dry my face and open my eyes. Then I look up to see the one person I wasn't expecting to see.
Zack's P.O.V.
Nuroku had summoned for me to see him. I walk into his room. He is sitting by the window in the far corner of the room. I stand there awkwardly not knowing what to do. Then he spoke up.
"Come closer and kneel before me." He said. I walk in front of him and kneeled like he asked me to. He reaches forward and takes the sheikon fragment from my forehead.
"You may go now. I have no use for you anymore." He explains. I nod once then left the castle. Once outside the barrier of the castle, I felt like I just woke up from a strange dream or something. And yet I don't remember any of it.
'Oh well, it's not like it's going to kill me or anything' I stroll through the forest in a random direction hopefully it will take me back to Stacey. 'I need to tell her that I'm sorry for running off on her.' I thought.
After awhile I catch a strange but familiar sent near some sort of water. I follow the sent and found a girl washing her face in the stream. Her long blonde hair is braided all the way down her back with flowers in it. She is wearing a purplish-pink dress that ends just above her ankles.
I see her reaching for nothing beside her, so I helped the girl out and handed her a cloth from her basket that was behind her. She dries her face off and opens her eyes. Then she turns towards me and my heart skips a beat. 'H-her face! I-it can't be!?' I thought.
Both Stacey and Zack's P.O.V.s
"Stacey!?" We say in unison.
"Zack!?" We say in unison.
Stacey's P.O.V.
I thought that I would never see him again. Not that I wanted to or anything. He smells the same but, 'Wait, smells? Why am I worried about what he smells like? That's just weird. And how come my sense of smell has gotten stronger?' I thought.
