After having lived with Jin for six months, Namjoon knew three indisputable facts.
One, Jin was perhaps the most gorgeous person ever to exist past and present.
Two, Jin knew he was the universe's gift to straight women and gay men but was still the nicest person with the most generous of hearts.
Three, Namjoon was very, very gay.
The third thing wasn't new, Namjoon had been out and proud from the moment he saw Rain on a music show when he was a kid. Something about a tight wife beater and Rain's hip thrusting had Namjoon wishing more than anything when he grew up he'd find a good man that looked like Rain.
Jin may fill that bill, but Namjoon wasn't that sure about Jin's preference. He had suspicions, but he never saw Jin on a date, hear him gush over a celebrity or idol, nor did he find any kind of hidden porn stash on his laptop (not that he'd gone snooping, but Jin had left it on and Namjoon had been in a mood™ and his computer wasn't working).
Asking him was out of the question, since it was rude, and Namjoon didn't want to give away his bit of a crush if Jin didn't look at him that way. Namjoon didn't think he was ugly or anything, obviously not on Jin's level of handsome but not ugly.
He just didn't think he'd have a chance with the Adonis of Korea. But, life is funny sometimes. After a lifetime of curveballs, sometimes the universe decides it's just going to throw that ball straight at your head.
Namjoon called it the Twenty Four Hours Where My Life Was Never the Same.
It all begins when Namjoon returns from class, his mind on mundane matters of school and what topic he would do for his final project in his gender and sexuality studies. The thought had been plaguing him for weeks and the deadline for what the project was to be and what medium was to be used. It was not an easy course and they had been given free reign on the subject matter.
But for Namjoon, it was more than just a project, it had to mean something. It had to be something that would prove his four years of graduate work was worth it. That his major of sociology and minor of film could be used together (even if the course wasn't specific for his major, he wanted his advisors to see he was applying the concepts).
Anyway, Namjoon had dropped all of his belongings on the floor after losing the door and dropped onto the couch with a groan. He closed his eyes and thought about taking a nap. He wondered if dropping out at the beginning of your final semester was a good idea, but he was really tired and he already had his masters in sociology, why go for a PhD? What was the point? What did it gain him?
Time stopped for a second as an image projected itself in his mind. It was one of those moments where your mind is catching up on the things your eyes saw briefly but couldn't process it in time. It was an image of two people in various sex positions. His mind stuttered to a stop and his eyes snapped open. What was that?
