Living with the Pack

Chapter 3: Time to Talk,

          Millions of eyes were looking at me with fear. "Alpha Keneth wh-why have you shifted into human form?" I was amazed it was wrong to do that before the big feast if you were in the hunt, I was an exception.

"How did you know were the animal was?" His voice was varely low he kept glancing from me to the deer.

"I herd its pulse and its movement." Everyone still looked shocked, i didnt know what was wrong or what I did.

"Yes, your starting to become one" He said it with discuss. He walked over leading the way back in his wolf form while everyone followed. I was in the back far from everyone else. I felt like a disgrace to the pack. Why should i feel like this i should feel happy and proud and bold! Not like a failure.

~~~~30 minutes later~~~~

   4 mothers from the pack were still making the feast. I sat right beside the Alpha Keneth becuase thats were i was supose to sit. I felt like i should run away. He kept glancing at me every now and then. I kept my head down, nobody would meet my eyes except from Alpha Keneth and Alpha Esme. Alpha Esme was Keneths  mate/wife. They only had one son and he was 25 years old.

 His son was a pain sometimes. He tried to act like he was the alpha. Sometimes when I walk bye him he pinched my ass. I cant smack him cause he is a higher level than me. They named him Ethan. He was sitting next to me. Everyone  looked up and the smell of deer came to my nose.  I felt like i wanted to barth it was the worst smell i have every smelt.

  Alpha Keneth looked at me weird and whispherd somethin to Alpha esme it was too low for me to hear.

"Excuse me" I ran away from the smell. My throat was burning like i havnt had anything to drink in days. I leaned my head against a tree. I walked slowly back to the pack. They all had there mouths ful and were eating like pigs.

"Im not feeling well." I looked at Alpha Keneth, his hand pushed a cup toward me.

"Take of a drink of that sweetie." Alpha Esme looked at me with innocent eyes. The smell of the drink was so close. My throat started to burn more. I tookea sip, it was good i gulped it down.

"Valerie, your going to have to be excuse." It was more like a command. I sat up and everyone was looking at me. "We dont want your blood lust to effect anyone hear."

"What blood lust? Thats-thats  gross! I mean..." I couldnt speak.

"Your a Vampire, Valerie we will try to protect to you till your 17 then your going to have to go find a clan to live with. You can put our pack in danger and nobody wnts that." I looked at Alpha Keneth i was horrified. I wanted to say something, my mouth was just oppned like a complete idiot.

"Valerie darling your a wonderful kind loving sweet girl. We just dont want to take a risk." Alpha Esme was always kind and saw no harm in anyone. I nodded my head and ran home.

~~5 minutes later~~

I was laying in my bed exausted. I couldnt belive what i was. How could i be a vampire?! I was scared and my heart was racing well if i even had a heart.  The sound of footsteps were coming up the stairs. I creeped out of my bed slightly. My door opned slowly and a tall dark figure came in.

"Valerie, I know your in here. I can smell you. Dont be afraid i just want to talk." I came out of the shadows.  The man voice was musky, i didnt reconize it. I sat on the bed waiting for him to talk.

"I know they told you.." He took a sigh." Its nothing to be afraid of.Iknow you think its the worst thing but its not it matters wat path you take. Me and my clan want you to join us when your 17 wich is about a week away. My name is Caleb." I started to back up against the wall. I didnt want this.

"Dont be afraid. Im not here to force or hurt you. I want to protect you. You need to join my clan tho. It can help protect you and make you strong. You can also learn more about ourself and what speacil talents you have."

"What do you mean speacil talent? "I never knew anything bout vampires. I didnt even know the exsisted.

"Every vampire have something speacil bout them. And just by being in the same room as you i can tell you are powerful. You dont know much and i want to protect you, you are in alot of danger." He looked through the window and jumped on the window seal.

'I'll be back in a week. Make the right choice." He then jumped out the window. I layed on the bed. Thinking of what he said.
