When Peppa went back to school, everyone laughed at her and said horrible stuff to her, except Candy Cat and Pedro Pony. "Hey Peppa, did you know Suzy's trying out for cheerleading? You should too - you can be the lead easily!" Candy said excitedly Yeah, you've got the weight AND the looks!" Pedro said smoothly, making Peppa smile slightly and turn a little pinker than she already was. "Okay...I'll try. I doubt I'll land a place, but it's-it's worth a try, right?" Candy joked, "Alright!! We'll be cheering you on at the tryouts!" Pedro and Peppa giggled at her silly joke and Peppa thanked her before the lesson started. Once it was over at breaktime, Peppa went to chat with her friends and heard a little of a conversation Suzy was having with Rebecca Rabbit and Danny Dog. "I'm trying out for our new cheerleading team! I'll be lead, for sure!" "You go girl! We'll be cheering you on! You'll land for sure!" Peppa scoffed quietly while sitting next to Candy and Pedro to discuss tryouts. "Peppa!! There you are. We heard some chat from Suzy, Rebecca and Danny." Candy said, rolling her eyes when she said Suzy's name. "So did I." They spent breaktime happily chastising Susy inbetween discussions of cheerleading. When tryouts rolled around, Peppa and Suzy were put in the same dressing room and team. "You watch out, Peppass. I'll be lead AND I'll tear you apart!" Peppa simply scoffed again while changing into some red cheerleader clothes and styling her hair (a long crop top and skirt, with boots and her hair into a ponytail.) Suzy wore the same as Peppa, except her hair was down and her clothes were bright pink. When they went out, everyone and their family were there. Candy and Pedro were wearing red clothes and pig hairpins to show support for Peppa, and when she went out, they cheered for her. Suzy rolled her eyes. George cheered joyfully with their parents. While everyone else just danced and shouted, Peppa did some actual cheerleading moves and did a perfect backflip and landed in a split, while cheering. When tryouts ended, Candy, Pedro and Peppa's family cheered for her one last time before the lead was announced. Madame Gazelle came up to the podium above. "Thank you all, girls, you all did amazing, but our lead cheerleader was the best. She has She has looks. She has skill. She has the name... of Peppa Pig!" Peppa beamed while everyone cheered for her. Rebecca and Zoe gave her a tiny smile but Suzy gave her a dirty look. Peppa grinned triumphantly back at her, like she was silently saying "Who's the lead now?" When she got changed again and left, Candy and Pedro came to meet her at the exit. "You were amazing, Peppa!!" "Your backflip was amazing!!!" They waved her goodbye when she went home. When she got there. she kept her cheerleading spare outfit and her special red starry scrunchie for her ponytail in her closet in a special shoebox hidden away so George couldn't touch it.
