I had to say goodbye. Out of the corner of my eye I could see that my mom was staring at me almost in tears while she lit up a cigarette. She always does it, every time she gets nervous. I walked in the airport and after a few minutes I found myself facing the plane, the cheap plane we found that was on sale. My hand held the trashy ticket, the one that my brain constantly repeated that was going to be the entrance to heaven. Death wasn't a fear of mine at the moment, all I ever wanted was happening and nothing else really mattered.

I hopped on the plane and waited a few hours until I arrived to my destiny, LA. I was going to stay with the daughters of my mom's friends. Of course I wasn't going to live alone, what was I expecting? A mansion at the top of  Beverly Hills? Oh no my lord, with what money? I was only carrying money for the month because my plan was getting a job that could pay at least for the sharing rent and food. Coming out of the airport I called a taxi that took me to the apartment. I knocked on the door, but I figured that it was already open, so I go in and the first thing I see is 4 girls that are around my age maybe a little bit older, all over the floor, reading either magazines or books, except for one the that was watching a romantic comedy on the TV. The four of them look at me and stand up, they all came running to me and gave me a welcome hug.

-hi! How are doing? How was your flight? Did you arrive okay?- the girl in the middle said

-chill Pam you're asking a lot o' questions, let Tatiana relax- said Angelina. I know Dawn from my childhood, my mom told me she was going to be there. -so Tat, she's Pam- she said pointing at the girl that was beside her. -she's Faye- she pointed to the brunette girl next to me. -and she's Sharon- the explanation ended.

-nice to meet y'all, i'm Tatiana, but Dawn already said that.- I stated a little intimidated as all the girls were looking at me as if I were a piece of meet.

-I'm glad you made it here alright, taxi drivers can be shady sometimes- Faye said.

We sat on the sofa and talked about everything. I wish I had met them sooner.
