Wedding invitation

It was Aneri on the other side. As soon as she pick up the call Aneri shouted on her

Aneri: where the hell were you teju?

Teju : who is this?

Aneri: Aneri aur kaun?

Teja: Aneri?? How did you get my number?

Aneri: You are worried about how I got your number? Seriously teju you have ghosted me for over a year , What was my fault ? Before you freaked out I got your number from sonali. You have made me do soo much of work. You know how difficult it was to get Sonali's address, she wasn't willing to give me your number.

Teju: then what did you do?

Aneri : I have my ways you know how amazing I can be.

Teju: ya ya self obsessed.

Aneri: you didn't answer me where were you?

Teju: I was busy ( in a lower volume, she knew it was lie but she can't mention him)

Aneri: busy doing what teju? You didn't have time to call me or you could have drop a message. You can't be that busy.

Teju wanted to change the topic

Teju: chuck it na. So tell me how's life treating you?

Aneri: I am good but you can say great things coming to my life. There is a news I wanted to share with you.

Teju: Oh Tell me already what is the news?

Aneri: Bitch I am getting married!!

Teja: what ? Wait what ? Seriously I am soo happy for you. Is this guy the same guy ?

Aneri : of course!! No one can handle me better than him. He is just like me mad

Teja: wow man I don't believe this at least some one got what they wanted in life. ( this sentence made her miss him more then usual)

There was a long pause after her sentence

An- Teju are you there?

Teja: yep I am here only

An : can I ask you something?

She knew what was coming so she diverted the topic

Teja: let it be Aneri I don't wanna talk about it. So when is the D-Day??

Aneri got the hint and didn't investigate further

An: next month December 24. I don't want any excuse. I want you for my wedding and I know there will be holidays around the time of the year in states.

T- but listen na....

An: now you listen to me either you come to my wedding or there won't be any wedding. I swear to god I won't. This is up to you am I getting married or not.

Teja: oh ok let me check if I get the tickets

An: I have already checked so don't act smart with me. I didn't leave any chance you could cancel on me and jeopardize my own wedding. I didn't have your details otherwise I could have book it beforehand.

Teja: You have come prepared

An: I can't trust you on this and I can't take any chance.

Teja: now tell me who is this guy you told me about him but never introduced me. who is this secret guy you have been dating for soo long but nobody knows about him?

An: You know him I will introduce him to you when you are here.

Teja: ok miss secret I am already late for work. I will book the tickets if my boss wont kill me for getting late and one more thing don't even think of canceling your wedding if I am dead.

An: shut up !! I won't cancel it if you are here with me. I will ping you the details so you can plan accordingly. I will kill you if you won't come here.

Teju: ok chal take care . Congratulations once again and it was great talking to you after so long.
An: same here bbye

Aneri sent her venue which was in Jaipur.
Teju left for the office and on the way it's only him came to her mind. She wondered that what if he bumped into her but the venue was in Jaipur so there won't be any chances. She actually justified herself. Deep down she wanted to see him but her poor heart can't handle to see  him and relive all the hurtful memories. He must have already moved on maybe with his ex. She tried to shrugged the thought but it was there. There was a battle between heart and mind so she shut the door of her heart. After she reached the office she checked the tickets and after filling all the details when it about to pay she again hear knock on the door of her heart. She Held on and keep on staring at the screen. All the memories flashed in front of her and without realizing her eyes became wet , she didn't know when she started crying. Someone knock on her cabin door that snap her out from the memory reminisces. She composed herself and asked the person to come in. It was a colleague came to give her a file to take a look.

This colleague had a major crush on her but she never even looked at him as she was not over her past.

Rohit ( colleague) : are you ok ? You seems little lost

Teja: yeah I am ok

Rohit: can We go out for lunch ?

Teju: some other time I have work to complete

He opened his mouth to say something but close it as soon as he saw her opening the file. He quietly left the room.

After he left she checked the screen again and click on pay
