DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN HARRY POTTER. JK ROWLING DOES.

I ran from my room, down the stairs, and into the kitchen. I had just gotten my Hogwarts acceptance letter! I was so excited. I ran into the kitchen to tell my parents, but when I entered my father wore a rather somber expression and my mother looked rather worried.

“Whats wrong?” I asked worriedly.

“Nothing,” my mother replied quickly putting on a fake smile.

I quickly shook of what had happened and screamed

“I GOT MY HOGWARTS LETTER!!!!” My father quickly burst into a big grin, an extremely rare thing, and my mother ran forward to hug me.

My dad slowly got up and joined us. Truth is, I look nothing like my parents.

My mother has long, strait blond hair with dark green eyes and my dad has short light brown hair with light green eyes.

I had dark brown hair that hung about three or more inches below my collar bone with a thick creamy white streak on my right side, and was curly, but not too curly to look messy, just gently curly starting at the middle, and I had dark blue eyes.

(Hair looks like Christina Perri on the album cover of ‘Jar Of Hearts’)

I was also a Metamorphmagus, therefore I could change my appearance, but my natural hair colour was brown and I had also learned how to control it very well. I was a pureblood from what I knew, and my parents are very strict with it.

My mother was a Slytherin, and my father was a Slytherin. I wanted to be in Gryffindor, although I would never tell them that. My father wants me to be in Slytherin, and so does my mother. I never say anything when the subject comes up. My parents weren’t exactly nice to me, but they showed affection when it came to me carrying on the family tradition. Normally if I did something wrong I was beaten. My brother never got beaten. He was the good boy. He was older then me, but only by two years. I hated him. I cant wait to get my wand! I thought as I excitedly shook my parents of.

“When can we go to Diagon Alley?” I asked.

My father exchanged looks with my mother, a look I didn't much like.

“How about we go tomorrow?” My father asked.

“OK!” I said happily as I raced out of the kitchen, back up the stairs and into my room.

I pulled the letter out and read it fully for the first time.

I folded the letter back up slowly, wanting that magical feeling of opening your first Hogwarts letter to last as long as possible, but knowing that it would end as I needed my sleep for tomorrow. I had a hard time sleeping that night, I was so excited to get my wand! After what felt like hours of tossing and turning, I finally fell into a light sleep.

It seemed like I had just fallen asleep when my mother came bouncing into my room announcing that we would be leaving just after lunch. I sighed, as excited as I was, I wanted nothing more then to sleep. But I knew my mother wouldn’t relent in trying to wake me up, so, reluctantly, I slowly got up and headed for the washroom to shower.

After a nice warm shower that defiantly didn’t last long enough, I trudged down the hall and into my bedroom to get dressed. My parents were rather rich, as they where purebloods and my father had a good job. My room was especially nice. The walls where painted a soft gold, accept the wall where the head of my bed was pushed against was scarlet red, colours that my parents highly disliked, as they where the colours of Gryffindor. The floors where hard wood and a window seat, that you saw almost right in front from the opposite wall of you when you walk in, over looked the street, and beautiful red silky curtains to hide the window seat if I wished. Few things covered my walls, like a few old newspaper clippings and a picture of a beautiful black horse and a white wolf.
