The Invasion .

Every human, born with the sense and desire of being used, we crave the feeling. That feeling lead me to join the marines. I signed up with my best pal, Charlie. We were brothers in arms we've been through everything, he always kept me on track. If you want to know my name, it is Nathan Alexander. Our mission, to hold back the North Koreans invading Seoul, this wasn't just a mission, it was an initiation."Everyone know what there doing!" Sargent Mack said." Hell ya!" The marines replied. "Good now get to the drop pods!" It was the year 2057, technological advances were introduced, also......more wars. We were heading to the pods when our OBS was shot down." There is a giant fracture in the hull sir, were not going to make it!" Every single person in that ship, everyone accept me was terrified. I suddenly got up on one of the tanks and said "We are marines don't just stand there and do nothing, improvise!" With that saying everyone got back to there stations and began rushing to the pods. " Good speech Nathan, got em into shape." Charlie said behind me as we were rushing to the pods. When we finally got there, it was to late, the ship was losing to much power, we need to bail. At that very moment everything.....everything went dark.

After I woke up, I started to call out to the names of the marines I have been on duty with. There was no answer. I found what seemed to be a mangled corpse; I flipped it over and gasped. Charlie, my best friend, gone in an instant. A part of me wishes that it was me taken and not him, but at last it was him. I heard screams, then I heard what seemed to be the Koreans. Out of shock I quickly got under Charlie's dead corpse. I almost cried as how mangled and charred his body was. Footsteps approached were I was, I quickly grabbed my knife, careful not to stab myself, I slit both of there necks. I grabbed there radio and changed the frequency to were Command was."This is Marine Force Alpha need immediate assist over." I heard a voice from the other end "copy that Alpha evac on its way." I sighed in relief waiting for evac to come I thought about everything that just happened. I was close to death many of times, I never accepted it but it was there, my best friend Charlie wasn't as lucky. I will avenge him.
