There wasn't much to do that night. There had been little battles with the autobots, so there weren't any major wounds that needed treating asap. The ship was quiet as well, with everyone just keeping to them selves.
Knockout and Breakdown were lazing around their room together. They were chatting about what ever came to mind. They were both so bored, but they hadn't gotten a break for a while. So relaxing together was a nice break from the chaos of the war.
"Hey, you remember what our old apartment looked like? The one before the war?" Breakdown asked quietly.
"Oh, yes, that one is still my favorite to this day. The decor was to die for." Knockout smiled, remembering the days they had together in the old apartment. They used to spend hours together, just like tonight. Doing absolutely nothing. But they also had such a different life back then. They had different friends, and different goals and dreams. It almost felt like a parallel universe to the past few years. With all the fighting they've had to do since the beginning of the war.
"Well, you always knew the perfect way to set it up."
They both giggled together. Breakdown vented heavily, sounding bored. But knockout knew it meant he was content at that moment. He turned his head slightly, to see a warm smile on his partners face.
Knockout was content to, but not in the same way. If he were being honest, he'd much rather race through the night. Or do something other than just sit here. But it was so nice, just so lovely, to see Breakdown happy.
He hadn't been happy for a while. He'd been acting nervous and worried ever since he'd seen bulkhead. As well as since they'd gotten on the nemesis. Knockout knew he didn't like being directly involved in the war, and would much rather stay on the sidelines. But they couldn't just run from Megatron. That'd be a death wish.
Knockout didn't like as much as he thought he would. Always having to follow orders, beraly any free time. Knockout and Breakdown having to keep their relationship "secret" for Megatrons sake, even though he was sure everyone already knew. Not to mention the constant fighting with the autobots.
"Hey." Breakdown turned his head to look into Knockouts eyes. His eyes were the brightest yellow he had ever seen. He loved them with all his spark. "You want to, um, go for a drive?"
Knockouts spark fluttered a little at those words coming from Breakdown. "Are you sure?" He didn't want him to feel like he had to, just for him.
Breakdown nodded. "Yeah, I feel like it would be fun."
Knockout practically bounded up from the berth. Rushing to the door. Breakdown got up slower, but hurried to follow the happy red mech.
The hallways were long and gloomy. But the knockout was to thrilled to notice, or care. He was just to happy at the fact that breakdown wanted to do something knockout loved, with him. It was already such a perfect night. Relaxing with his partner. But this just made it ten times better.
They made it to the ground bridge. Two vehicons stood at two separate computers. One turned to look at them as they entered.
"Let me guess, you wanna go out?"
"You know me to well." He grinned.
"Where too." He turned back to the computer.
"Where do you wanna go?" Breakdown looked at knockout.
"Just drop us anywhere, to be honest."
The vehicon shrugged, pulling up some random coordinates from a fight long ago.
"Here you go. Just call in whenever. I'm sure if we need you someone will let you know."
"Thanks." Breakdown smiled at the vehicon. Even though he wasn't looking.
