Chapter one

Aurora pov

I woke up to the sound of pounding on the door, grumbling pulling the covers over my head. I hear the door open and groan when a heavy weight lands on me.

"Sunflower you have to get up!" the unmistakable voice of my best friend and honorary brother, Chandler shouted.

I responded by shoving him off and turning over rolling my body into a small ball. Then the covers are ripped off and I'm hit by cold air.

Gasping , I shot up and glared at the chuckling man child at the side of my once warm bed. Seeing my glare causes him to only laugh harder.

"You look like a angry kitten" he spits out in between laughs. Causing me to huff and cross my arms.

Finally he calms down "But really, you have to get up or you'll miss your flight." he sings out and leaves my room.

My eyes widen, hopping out of bed. Running to the bathroom, I take a quick shower and throw on a comfy outfit.

I straighten my hair and do a simple makeup look, once satisfied I pack up all my stuff. Doing a quick look around my room, deciding I'm good to go, and grab my luggage.

Meeting Chandler in the kitchen mumbling a morning, i make myself some toast and Nutella. Sitting at the table doing a quick socials check, replying to some sweet comments.

"You excited?" Chandler asks swiping a piece of my toast.

" Absolutely! I can't wait to meet them!" I replied while swatting his hand away from my breakfast.

"Some more them others" he smirks at me as my cheeks deepen in color. Regretting the day I told him of my crush well crushes.

"Shut up!" I shouted covering my cheeks with my hands hoping to stop the burn.

My fingers subconsciously rub against the cursive on my wrists, S.E.M and a H.C.L. I hoped they were who I thought as I was drawn to them the moment I saw them.

" Alright lets go and get you to the airport and one step closer to true love" he teases while pretending to swoon.

Giggling I nod and grab my bags bringing them out to his car. Looking back at my home of a year knowing it will be a while before I'm home again.

Chandler hops in starting the car and pulls out the driveway. He hands me the aux, and the music fills the silence of the car.

"Can we stop and get a coffee?" I beg looking at him with my famous puppy eyes. Sighing he pulls into the nearest Dunkin, ordering our coffees.

Finally arriving at the airport, he helps me grab my bags and gets me inside. Im then tackled to the floor, luckily Chandler grabbed my coffee.

Looking up into the eyes of my ex and best friend, Karl. I squeal and hug back not expecting him to come see me off.

He gets up with me still hanging on him like a koala, I see the rest of the boys behind him and launch myself at Chris.

Laughing he hugs back while lifting me up slightly. Hugging Jimmy and Nolan next.

"I wasn't expecting you guys to come see me off, ill only be gone a month at most" I exclaimed looking at them all.

" We had to see our Sunflower off" Chris explained, us all getting teary eyed at the thought of being separated.

I spread my arm wide signaling a group hug and the boys run in. Almost falling back by the impact, giggling holding back tears.

We separate smiling at each other, a speaker overhead calling the boarding of my flight.

With one last hug, I hand my ticket over and board the flight. Finding my seat and buckling in as a tear falls down my cheek.
