CHAPTER 5

TXT? But wait why is- omg don't tell me............that's Yeonjun, Ni-ki and Jungwon? No, no-no! please it is them why are they here now? I know idols come to this store but why now, let me just finish getting the rest of the goods for the house and leave here quickly. This feels too overwhelming right now. Swiftly going on your way to the fruits section you noticed at the corner of your eye someone coming there too. Your mind kept on repeating "shit shit shit" every time the person got closer. 

It was Jungwon. He had his hands in his pocket already standing behind you. Is he waiting for something here?

Your body slightly started stiffening up knowing he was behind you while you were looking for the specific grapes your sister asked for. Breaking the tension you asked 'Umm do you need something here?" 

" Yes I do. I'm just waiting for you to finish find what you're looking for " 

oh no it's ok you don't have to wait there (you moved yourself to the side indicating him to come over) get what you need. "Oh ok!" he said with a little shaky voice and a chickee smile. This was the first time in your life you ever spoke to him. Why did it have to be in a grocery store though, it could have been in the practice room.

 "Omfg finally these green grapes took so long to find-" as soon as you finished your sentences Jungwon's hands were already on it as well. He quickly backed off and immediately said "sorry".

 "Hey Jungwon, it's ok you don't need to apologize for that. If you want I could give you mine and look for another." 

"No. You keep that one and I'm sorry for apologizing. I just really didn't wanna make you uncomfortable." 

 you frowned for a bit 

"well that's thoughtful of you to think that way for a random stranger even though it's bare minimum it's still kind of rare now a days"........ "Stranger? I'm sorry again but aren't you y/n?''

"I- you know me🤨?"you said in shock, he giggled a bit 

"everyone talks about you...well at least the people I'm around, you're a really pretty and talented girl and you go to the same place I go almost everyday. Why are you so shocked I know you?"

 First of all, who's everyone? If I'm always in the back for literally anything I do, you got to be talking about someone else- 

"y/n stop thinking that way about yourself. You're way too talented for that. you're making doubting yourself a weak spot you know. You ever think maybe that's why you never get picked for monthly? Confidence is what they're look for.

 *silences for a moment*

hey um I'm just giving you a heads up by the way okay.  

Too stunned to speak, you just stood there shocked, you were fighting demons at this point. 

Way to go y/n what a first impression he read you like a book. "Dam wonie-" PLEASE DON'T CALL ME THAT!!. 

"Only people I'm close with can call me that you would have to wait when we get close. "When? "you said in your mind "I'm sorry Jungwon, my bad but what I was about to say was, you're actually right I need to to be more confident in myself I'll try my best to" Jungwon looked at you with a little smile "sorry if what I said earlier was a little harsh but it's reality sadly you have to learn the hard way" he sighed for a moment, you made me forgot what I even came here for I blame it on the way you were looking at me.

 You caught yourself quickly "my fault sorry my eyes wonder sometimes" 

"JUNGWONNN" a voice from the other shelf called, you already knew it was Niki by that slightly deep tone. You departed from Jungwon and went to get the last few things left from the list. Finally, you sighed as you dropped the soy sauce and kimchi in the basket. "Time to cash out and head home my feet are killing me." You said under your breath heading to the counter to let Jiyeon cash out for you, however you observed Ni-Ki and the boys coming your way about to cash out as well. You eyed Jiyeon quickly indicating her to hurry, Jiyeon however caught on and purposely went slower

"Jiyeon it's not the time to play games😟" you mumbled at her "oh come on now nothing much is gonna happen anyways just relax" Jiyeon playfully said, you groan in defeat. Now standing behind you was Ni-Ki, Yeonjun and Jungwon all in a line coming down. Ni-Ki literally was towering over you and you could feel him watching you from behind. Jiyeon was having too much fun right now seeing those desperate expressions on your face begging her to hurry up. 

 At last she finished. Handing you the bags, Jiyeon gave you a smile and a little wink. "Enjoy your night and please come again<3" woah.... this girl really is something else. Walking out you knew all four of them were watching you. I guess you got to get used to this from now because next week there's going be even more eyes on you 'hopefully'. 

On your way home thinking about today you actually didn't regret it, it was kind of fun after all. Maybe since you've been deprived of attention from others for so long it felt great being seen again even better knowing that someone actually noticed you dancing for your dancing.

The weather on the way home started getting pretty cold. The streetlights were blinking a lot in the distance and there was little to no one in view. It was you walking home all alone again around these times. It made you wish you had someone to at least walk home with. It can get a little scary at times and sadly even scarier since you're black so you always have to keep your guard up no matter what, but thankfully you reached home safely once again "shit I forgot to turn the light on before I left home" you said as you were met with pure darkness. "Click" flicked the light switch. You unpacked the groceries, took a shower and finally went to bed. You felt so tired even though you didn't do much today so tired you didn't hear when your sister got home.
