♫ | Sweater weather by The Neighborhood.

The sound of pages turning harshly or delicately, the aroma of caffeine of every kind…the silent but at the same time not at all silent atmosphere surrounded around her, she felt distant with all of it.

"You should drink that."

Unknown to her, she was lost somewhere for a while and Zeno didn't fail to notice that.

"I will."

She looked down, getting her attention back to the book she was reading.

Currently she's at the common library with him, he didn't fail to notice something was off with her when he was called by her as soon as he woke up. It was unusual for her to be even awake at such an early hour.

They've been sitting in silence for the past hour, she pretends to be immersed and completely focused in the book and he keeps asking her questions to see if something is wrong, her answers aren't very convincing to him.

"Now, I would like to know why you summoned me." He cleared his throat, taking a sip of his orange juice.

"Just like that, can't I call you to hang out with me without any particular reason?"

"Nope," He rested his elbow on the table, propping his chin up. "You could either share, or just hint whatever is wrong."

She sighed, keeping her head down on the table.

"I wanted to help someone but I was completely useless." She made circles with her fingers in the air, "I don't know how to face them after…that."

"You can't help everyone, Ivy. It's impossible. You could let them know you tried to, don't be sorry for something that isn't in your control, don't avoid them, that would bring nothing good…instead be there for them, help or not I'm sure they'd appreciate it."

She didn't pull her head up but a smile spread over her lips.

"You should've been a therapist, you're in the wrong profession." He chuckled at her statement.

"My services are limited to you, so I wouldn't change anything," He flipped the pages of her book, stopping at one page. "Now read the book again, but actually read it this time."

She felt her mind at ease, just for a while. He is the only person as of now who could do that, somehow comforting her without even fully knowing anything. He did come into her life after a long while, but he's so worth it.

Her gaze traveled across the library, anywhere but on the damn book.

What she didn't expect was to catch a sight of the Ravennete, after last night, here in the library.

With a girl.

She didn't know how to face him after last night so she left early, Davina was with him anyways.

He seems fine, smiling even with the unfamiliar girl beside him.

She leaned over towards Zeno a little, so her speech would be audible to him only.

"Do you know who that girl is? Never saw her before."

The latter rolled his eyes at her query.

"Well how could you? You barely interact with anyone from your own department, how would you know people if you don't try to, Ivy?"
