"Jess." my best friend squealed as she came running and gave me a tight hug. "oh, I missed you so much." she squealed as she hugged me tighter.
" I missed you too" I told her and her grip on me began to loosen up. "What did I miss?" I asked as we walked towards the school entrance.
"Oh nothing, just that Zach asked me to be his mate." she squealed loudly as she jumped around me. "Oh.My.God!" I muttered "What did you say?." i questioned raising my right eyebrow.
"What do you expect me to say." "of course I said yes." I stopped dead in my tracks. I turned to look at her and I noticed her expression had changed. "You said, YES!." I yelled raising my voice. "Of course I said yes." she said raising her voice slightly.
Zach was my ex-boyfriend, and also the soon-to-be alpha, we had dated for about three months before I caught him cheating with Anna who is also Lisa's sister. Everyone wanted to date him because they taught he would make them Luna when he's the alpha but that wasn't the reason I dated him, he was the only guy who was interested in me not that I was not beautiful but people didn't want to be seen with the 'Omegas child'. He had showed me love, care and affection. He was my first love. When I found out he cheated on me, I cried for days and the only person who Comforted me was Lisa my best friend who now happened to be his new girlfriend and maybe soon-to-be Luna since mating season was in a week. I couldn't blame her though who wouldn't want to be Luna.
"You know what he did, why would you agree to it?." I look her in the eye and she stared back at me. "OH CUT ME SOME SLACKS!." her voice began to grow loud "Just because your love life with him didn't go well doesn't mean it would be the same for me!" she continued " You're just a filthy omega and an ugly bitch with a brXoken family, who would want to have you as his mate?." my eyes started to gloom and tears blurring my vision.
Did she just say that?
"Lisa, how could you say that?" I questioned and she rolled her eyes. "You're my best friend. How can you tell me this? " I stared at her as a tear rolled down my cheeks. "You mean I'm your only friend." "Oh and don't worry bestie, I've got more than one surprise for you. You missed a lot in the past few days. " and with that she walked away leaving me at the door.
