"What did you mean by that?"

"By what?" (Y/n) asked, furrowing their eyebrows as they glanced at Dabi. The two had managed to not get too sidetracked in the store and only spent about fifteen minutes inside. They were walking side by side down a path through a small wooded area. It was the fastest way to get to their base from town.

"You said 'restart number two.' Have you had to do something like this before?" (Y/n) smiled.

"It's a secret." Dabi rolled his eyes, shaking his head.

"Forget it."

"Oh, I won't. In fact, I'll keep bringing it up until you figure out what it means for yourself. Just like my quirk." He sighed, which only encouraged (Y/n). They laughed at his reaction, but said nothing else. After a bit of silence, a lightbulb went off in Dabi's mind.

"Would you consider yourself curious?" He asked. (Y/n) thought for a moment before nodding.

"Yeah, I'd say so. Why do you ask?" He shrugged, keeping his gaze trained on the path before them.

"You know as much about me as I do about you, yet you've asked barely any questions. Actually, you've ignored how little you know. You act like you know me, but you don't even know my name." (Y/n) let out a quiet chuckle. They quickly looked at their watch, noting that it was half past one in the afternoon.

"It took you sixteen hours to pick that up. I'm impressed. I thought that would've taken at least twenty-four hours." They shrugged, instantly dropping the topic. Dabi rolled his eyes.

"Thanks, but that doesn't explain anything."

"You didn't ask a specific question," they pointed out, sending a quick glance at Dabi.

"You're pissing me off again." They smirked and let out a light laugh, finding it genuinely funny how easily they could get on his nerves. "It tortures you, doesn't it? You wanna know everything so badly, but you're so hellbent on keeping your own secrets that you keep your curiosity hidden. Because you know if you asked too many questions, I'd be able to turn your games against you." A few moments of silence passed by. (Y/n) finally broke it by clapping.

"Congratulations, you figured out one of my thousands of secrets. Want a fucking medal?"

"Hey, don't get all pissy with me. It's not my fault you're obvious as shit." They let out a scoff followed by a chuckle. "But I'm not like you. I don't care about keeping secrets. The only reason you know so little about me is because you haven't asked. If you had asked me anything about me, I probably would've answered you. Hell, I still will if you wanted to ask any now." More silence.

"Alright. What's your name, then?" He rolled his eyes.

"Ok, I take it back. If you ask almost anything about me, I'll probably answer you." His words got a laugh out of (Y/n).

"What about your skin?" Dabi raised his eyebrows.

"What about it?"

"How'd it get to be like that?" He cracked a small smirk.

"I'm stupid with my quirk sometimes," he explained.

"Well that was vague," (Y/n) stated with a chuckle.

"I still answered your question." The rest of the walk was quiet. They reached the base not long later, dropping off the groceries in the kitchen and (Y/n)'s bags in Dabi's room. Shigaraki was busy down the hall, working away at cleaning out the storage room.

"Oh my God. I completely forgot to change out of your clothes earlier, dammit. Where's your laundry room? I'll change and wash these for ya," (Y/n) said, digging through their backpack for a change of clothes.
