She glanced at herself in the mirror before heading off. Today was finally the day she dealt with kids. But in the best possible way. The parents would usually wait outside the playroom to make sure she didn't do any suspicious moves on the children. She never did but those moms never thought there was good inside her. She thought she was good but the only problem was not swearing in front of the children because then the parents would be mad at her.Her parents always told her that having a full week along with crime fighting would be too difficult. If she had an emergency call during one of her activities for the day, she would just have to leave and come back. Everyone there knew she was a superhero, so they always understood. She thought it was okay to have them know because her boss decided to leave anyway
She was dressed in something casual for the short day. But she assumed that she wouldn't be gone long. She pulled on some shoes and headed out through the Man's Nest's tube pad.
She didn't have any transportation and was too young to drive therefore walked the entire way there.

"Come on in Lovies!" Chapa exclaimed while the first group of children had just finished exited the room. They all rushed in with pure excitement and sat down wherever they pleased too. She looked through the bookshelf and pulled out one she thought they'd like. But it seemed that the kids had another thing in mind.
"Um miss Da Silva," some child started.
"Oh," she sounded offended, "Call me Chapa." and all those children looked confused, as if they were going to refuse calling her by that name. She would mind it because being called 'miss' made her feel really old. She was only sixteen and being called that felt weird.
But the child went on, "We was wondering if you um didn't read a book today?" She stumbled on those words and it seemed as if she had a stutter, a tiny one. Chapa looked at all the children who were nodding or fidgeting with their fingers and not paying attention. She thought that she wasn't allowed to do anything else but read to them. It would make her feel criminal.
"Why don't you want me to read?" She asked politely.
"We jus feel wike it's boring!" Some random kid yelled out from the group. He was younger than the girl who spoke previously and had more of a hard time with his words because he was still learning them. Chapa then put the book back, still getting the sense that it was a crime and she shouldn't be disobeying the rules here.
Once finished, "But sweeties I - I'm not allowed to do anything other than reading to you guys. If I didn't your parents would kill me." The kids were so dismayed when she said that. "But W-What did you have in mind?" She was ready to grab the book back.
"Twampoline!" A kid shouted from the back.
"Ice cweam!" Another yelped.
"Dod-ge ball!" Those were only some that she could hear from the crowd and they weren't in the littlest amount of sense appealing. She looked astonished and quickly grabbed the book back from the old shelf.
"How about we read a book," she said hurriedly. She opened the book to the first page and began to read.
The kids were quick to interrupt, "We don't wanna!" Some of the children even started to cry because they really didn't want to read one little book made for them. It was bad enough they didn't have much time. She tried to calm the crying ones but it was so hard. Suddenly she noticed a flash in her eyes and it made her realize what she needed to do in order to help the children from their tantrum. The flash helped her too.
