I was at school walking up to Chloe, Clark and Pete, they were by the bleachers near the football field. I had the latest copy of the Torch with me and wow, was Chloe trying to aggravate the entire football team, cheerleading squad and practically everyone else who loves football? I read the title out loud
(Y/N): "Football: Sport or Abuse?"
Chloe: So, what do you think? *Sips her cappuccino*
(Y/N): I think you seriously need to decrease your cappuccino dependency.
Pete and Clark were chuckling at my comment
Chloe: Pete thinks I'm being too hard on Coach Walt.
Pete: The man coached my dad, all my brothers. He used to come over and watch the Super Bowl.
Chloe: Now, while I'm touched by that Hallmark moment, you don't get points for subtlety in journalism. I've already started getting hate mail.
We were just walking by where the cheerleaders were practicing, I could see Lana with Whitney and oh boy, I wouldn't want to be him right now. I could also see Megan with the team, she and I haven't exactly talked since the dance, but I planned to remedy that.
Clark: You seem very happy about that. Why?
Chloe: Because it means I'm hitting a nerve. Besides, between the abysmal sentence structure and generous use of obscenities, I've got a pretty good idea of who's been sending it.
(Y/N): If you think the football team is reading the Torch, you're giving them way too much credit.
Lana stormed off from Whitney after probably giving him a verbal meltdown. She passed by the four of us only slowing down to give me a small smile, one that I reciprocated, then she continued in her storming off.
Chloe: Whoo! There's something you don't see everyday, a pompom meltdown.
The doors open and a group of football players, the ones found out cheating, they were leaving the building and walking by.
Chloe: Ooh, ooh, here they come! Pete, I need a picture of the cheating jockstraps.
Pete takes his camera and starts taking some pictures of the players and cheerleaders huddling around Coach Walt, I don't really pay attention to what they're saying, my eyes were still on Megan. She looked back to me and smiled, I smiled back at her.
Suddenly, one of the jocks threw a football right at Chloe's face. I was going to push her out of the way, but before I could, Clark caught it right in front of her face. And I gotta say, I was really shocked to see Clark catch that thing like a professional, so was everyone else.
Pete: *Pats Clark on the back* Woah, nice catch!
Chloe looks to Pete with a raised eyebrow.
Chloe: One of your teammates attempts to assassinate me, and all you're going to say is "nice catch"?
(Y/N): Well, I'm glad your not dead, Chloe. But Clark, seriously, how'd you do that man?
Chloe and Pete start to walk away, while I stay with Clark. I hear Pete muter something about Chloe wanting to hit a nerve, but I didn't hear him properly.
Clark throws the football back at the jock, which caused said douchebag to stumble backwards. I was understandably properly shocked and looked at my friend with a slightly open mouth.
(Y/N): Damn man, baling all that hay made you pretty strong huh.
Clark: *Slightly embarrassed* Well, yeah. All those chores do build up the muscle.
