Another normal day had begun in the village Purrington. The mall was open, Traders were showing their precious goods and a slight soft wind blew through the streets. While everycat was busy with their own things, two cats were just leaving from the big mall, discussing something: "Curio, there are no giant butterflies anywhere!" "Then why did the Trader say they are?" Conan sighed exhausted. His little sister, called Curio, was sometimes a bit TOO naive when it came to butterflies... "Listen, these big butterflies only exist in your fairytale book, nowhere else-" "Noooooo, they DO exist! I will proove it to you, brother! And then, you have to believe me!" Conan chuckled softly, giving his sister a headbutt. "Alright then, if you will show me a giant butterfly, I will believe you and will never question them again. Deal?" "Bet!!" Curio purred happily while she started to jump around her older brother. She really was a sweetheart after all.. Conan sighed. "Well, are you coming now? We should be back home already!" "Awwwwh, really?" Curio asked while she layed up her ears. She didn't like the idea of going home now at all. It wasn't even noon yet! "Well, yes, I don't want to be back too late, you know? Besides, we already got everything for the cake and your butterfly book-" "Stiiiiiiiiiill!! We could also go for a walk in the field nearby! Pleeeeeaaaaaaase?" "Curio, I am not su-" Too late. Curio had already run off into the masses of cats passing through. "God dang it..." Conan huffed and immidiatly ran after his little sister.
The chase leaded Conan out of the village, right to the fields Curio had talked about a few minutes ago. "Why must she always get her will like that..." Conan thought, rolling his eyes. He needed to accept the fact that she was still a young kitten and that she didn't know about the dangers outside the safe village... "Curio!!- Come back!!" Conan yelled loudly after his sister, but she seemed... distracted by something. She was not paying attention to her brother at all, she was way to focused on that what was flying right before her nose: A butterfly. "Curio!- Come on, we have to get back now!-" Out of breath, Conan trotted towards her, huffing with every step he took. "Ooooooo, you look pretty, Mister butterfly!" Curio gasped as she looked at the wonderful insect on her nose. She was so fascinated that she didn't even regognize her brother coming towards her. "Hello??-" Her brother inquerred insistingly. With no sucess. The butterfly was more interesting for Curio than him. 'She is really wearing down my patience...' the young cat thought, his tail was wagging a bit around. Clearing his throat, he poked his sister with his paw, causing the butterfly to fly away. "H-Hey!!- Mister Butterfly!!..." Curio whimpered a bit. "Mister Butterfly wanted to go home, and we should go home now too, Curio." Conan spoke calmly, giving his sister a soft headbutt. Curio huffed sadly. "Okayyy..." "I have an idea! When we are home, I will read your favourite story to you! Deal?" Curio's ears pricked up. "Really?" She asked, her eyes were sparkling like stars. "Promise!" Conan said, smiling at his little sister. Curio smiled back happily and purred loudly. Her brother looked at her, softly huffing. 'I will protect her, no matter what...' Conan thought. His sister was very important to him and he won't loose her, whatever it would take.
