Amelia's pov;
When I entered the house, I noticed my mother watching a movie in the living room. Dad wasn't there. I believe he was still at work, and Ash wasn't either.

"How did you spend your day?" She inquired as I was removing my shoes near the front door.

"Yes, that was enjoyable. I had a good time with Hannah. Mom, I'm going to my room."

"All right, what do you want for dinner?"

"Whatever my mom cooks is my favourite. So, Surprise me." Said with a bright smile.

She gave me a sly grin.

I went straight to my room and sat down on the bed. I was exhausted and felt a breeze on my face. The fan was not running when I looked up at the ceiling. I was surprised to see the windows wide open as I looked in the direction of the wind. Did mother open the windows? I hurriedly shut my room's window, drew the blinds, and peered through it to see if Andrew was in his room. I noticed an empty room when I looked around. I don't think he's arrived yet. I stepped into the shower after closing the blinds.

I dried my hair after getting out of the shower while checking between the blinds to see if he had returned home. I saw Andrew peering into his phone and walking back and forth in his room. He appeared to be quite serious. Is there something wrong? No, he didn't appear as tense when he was angry. It looked like he was texting someone. Who was he texting with? I shook my head, reminding myself not to be jealous or possessive because he wasn't mine to begin with.

Andrew Campbell, do secret crushes like mine have the right to be jealous at least in limited doses?

My phone vibrated while I was thinking about the person Andrew was talking to, making me jump a little from where I was looking at Andrew. When did I turn my phone to vibrate? Urgh! I took my phone, turned off the vibration, and looked to see why it was vibrating.

Hmph! It's none other than Ash, my brother. I got a text message from him. What does he want now?

I saw his text when I opened the chatbox.

-Get me some white shoes. The money is on the bedside table. Tell our parents that I'll be staying at a friend's house tonight.

Huh? What is he thinking of me? Is I a slave?

Why do I have to perform his chores? Can't he do it on his own? Why do I have to give them information about him? Can't he just tell them by himself? Urgh! I'm sick of being the go-between for my parents and my brother. I'm not sure why, but they haven't been on good terms recently, which makes me wonder why, given that he was their favorite child. They never made him stop accomplishing anything, such as his schoolwork or hobbies. They let him do anything he wants, yet my brother still has disagreements with his parents.

I stepped out of my room with one last glimpse at Andrew who was being serious looking at his phone.

As I walked inside Ashton's room, I pinched my nose together. Last time, his room was drenched in sweat, making me suffocate for fresh air. I approached the bedside table and noticed the money on the table. When I examined the denomination, it was a $50 bill. Fifty dollars? The sneaker costs roughly $40. What should I do with ten dollars? He promised to pay me more the following time. What exactly is this?

In the GO mall,
When I looked around the shoe store, there weren't many customers and I couldn't identify a single staff member except the receptionist. What happened to everyone?

I browsed the store for an appropriate sports shoe for Ash. There are so many different colours to select from. I know his shoe size, but I'm not sure which colour he prefers right now. Should I contact him? Let's put it to him!
I called Ash on video call. When he answered the phone, he was naked, so I averted my eyes to prevent being scorched by his body and screamed, "What the hell! Why are you naked?"

He said, "I'm not naked! I'm dressed in shorts."

"However, I don't see anything."

He dropped his phone to his crotch, showing his shorts, and asked, "Do you see what I'm wearing now?"

I hung up the phone. Idiot with no shame.

When I turned around, a man stood in front of me which shook me a little. Was he present the entire time? Did he take notice?

"Did you come here to buy shoes for your boyfriend?" he asked, his smile hidden behind his lips. He did take notice.

"No way! He's my brother."

"Okay. What kinds of shoes do you want to see?"

"Sports…"

"Okay. Do you know how big his feet are?"

I nodded and told him the size of Ash's feet.

"Which colour would you like to purchase? Do you have any favourites?"

"I'm not familiar with shoes. Do you know what colour works best for basketball?"

The guy who works in the shoe store picked up a pair and showed me while saying, "This one will do. Do you enjoy it?"

He showed me a sneaker that was all white with red pattern lines. This is sufficient for him. I gave him a thumbs up and requested him to pack the shoes.

I went to the flower shop after leaving the shoe store.

When the florist saw me enter the shop, he waved and inquired, "Where have you been these days?"

"I've been swamped with assignments and other obligations. So, how about you? How are things going for you?

"I'm fine, but my flowers are not. They're upset because they can't see you."

"Are they?" I asked, smiling. "Then... I'll bring them home." And I gave the remainder of the money I received from the show store.

"Are you really bringing them for you or... are you buying for that mysterious guy?" he asked, waving the money in the air.

I grabbed his flowers and told him, "Of course, for the mystery man! I hope he enjoys these flowers."

"This time is different. He will undoubtedly enjoy it. Don't give up hope."

"I certainly hope so. Thank you for the flowers, by the way. Uncle, I'll see you later."

I stared at the flowers on my way to the house and remembered what happened the last time. To surprise him, I put carnations hidden in his locker. But he threw it away, which irritated me. I was saddened when he threw the flowers and concluded that he may have done so because he disliked carnations. So I began to keep various flowers in his locker. However, these were also rejected. What if he dislikes flowers? No, he received a bouquet of tulips given to him by a senior. I bought tulips the next day and it was approved... I mean, he didn't throw it out right away, but it lasted him about 10 minutes. I started keeping various flowers to figure out what kind of flowers he liked. Today, I purchased Orchids, which represent love, beauty, and strength.

Let's see how he feels about orchids. And how long does it last if he likes it?
