Ebony stood in front of a baby's crib her long black eyelashes shading her cheeks, eyes half-lidded. She wore a blank expression as she picked the infant up. The baby stared at her causing a sudden smile to rise on her cheeks the edges of her eyelids crinkling up in effect.

"Athy, my beloved."

Ebony swooned the baby's expression morphing into confusion. Being very non-baby-like for an infant to look so seriously confused. Even so Ebony knew well enough, that the baby mental age told a different story from her outer age.

Athy was very confused about what her nanny said (it was still difficult mentally to accept that she has a nanny despite being the mental age of 20). She still hasn't even learned the name of her nanny despite her being by far her favorite. Her confusion came when the woman said 'beloved'.

A term that shouldn't be used in this world. A term that this world civilization is yet to learn. Or she could be wrong... No telling what could haven't been written in the book 'lovely princess' but still happened.

It's a teddy bear woven from cotton. The yellow fabric seemed to be sown by hand and the golden eyes looked mystical. (were those sapphires in the teddy bear's eyes!?)

Yes, Ebony stole the fabrics from the head maid but only after she stole them from the child. She learned to sew in her past life because she had to learn how. The gems were also stolen back. (They forced her hand what else would the princess have to play with other than a rattle if she didn't do what she had done?)

Athy excitedly took the rattle as Ebony found a chair in the room her hands moved to sew together a new blanket. She focused on her task at hand humming wondering when her next paycheck is coming in. She is only able to ignore the embezzling from the other maids until it starts affecting her (not to mention the). That's when it starts becoming a probably.

Claude has someone still paying the maids that person being the butler. He hands the money to the head maid who divides it evenly. So money wasn't the issue for her it was just greed at this point. Because of that, the other maids who are being underpaid and have families to take care of are forced to steal. (sadly she saw this situation often in her past life as a businesswoman)

Later that day Ebony left quietly after feeding Athanasia. Leaving the baby wondering how bad it would have been if she didn't have Ebony. Ebony knew the answer but Athanasia couldn't physically ask her.

He has flaws and more baggage than Ebony would usually accept. But she isn't looking for a relationship she is here to watch him grow as she watches Athy.  He has character development and more than anything Ebony loves a person that can grow. (Because her sexuality is very fluid)
