Unfortunate - Chapter 1: Arguement

My name is Mia, I'm just an average teenager, decent grades, great family, amazing friends, i've got it all! I'm now 15 and my parents are finally letting me go out with my friends over night, I'm so excited! Next Saturday, we're going camping, yup.. just the 5 of us. Me, Janice, Aqua, Hayden, and Kristen, it's going to be fantastic!

So Janice is the quiet type, she actually barely talks around us, but she seems very close to Kristen. Probably because they've known each other since they were 3, quite a long lasting friendship. I honestly got to say, I envy her beautiful blue eyes and her silky blonde hair. She's a true beauty! And i'm so surprised that she doesn't know it.

Then there's Aqua, she's the creative one. Everywhere we go, she'll carry around her art supplies and draw the scene. She is an amazing artist, I've yet to see anyone more talented than her. She has brown curly hair, which is very adorable if you ask me. She's the only one of my female friends that doesn't wear make up. Yup, her beauty is all natural! Speaking of her name "Aqua" her eyes are as bright as her name, the shade of Aqua is very soothing, I'm probably the closest to her than anyone else in the group. And i really do respect her calm nature.

There's Hayden, the only male in this group of friends, but i suppose he doesn't mind it. He's the typical teenage boy, he's the jock of the group, usually he's very energetic and just won't shut up! But that's a good thing. And his light brown eyes, they're quite beautiful. He's Kristen's boyfriend, and I think they look adorable together.

Last but not least, there's Kristen, I suppose she's often what people would define as "goth" but it doesn't matter to me. Kristen has a very radiant personality, she always cares and always helps out, I can never get mad at her. She has dark brown eyes, and black hair with a few pink streaks, which really brings out her true self. She's always judged because of the way she dresses, but really I admire her fashion style and I think that it's unique. No one should be judged because of the way they express themselves.

Soon 7 days passed, time flew by quicker than I anticipated, it's now May 15th, 2001 and it's time for our departure. The ride was around 30 minutes long, and we've finally reached our destination. After we all exit the vehicle, we jump in joy, this will be the best spring in history! We walk around looking for a good campsite, it's been a good 15 minutes and we still haven't found one yet. "I-I'm not feeling very well.." Says Janice as she starts to lose her balance.

"Hey! Don't pass out on us now!" Yelled Kristen, as she ran to Janice, supporting her. "I think it's best to settle here for now until Janice recovers." Says Hayden. "Yes, we should." Said Aqua. "Alright then, it's settled we're unpacking here." I said, the others agreed. We started unpacking our stuff. Food, water, clothing, shelter...shelter? "Guys, where's the tent?!" I asked. "Oh snap, we must've left it on the bus!" Yelled Hayden. "Well, where the heck are we gonna sleep?" Shrieked Kristen. "Guys, calm down, there is a cabin right here, and it might be even safer than that tent you guys 'brought' " said Aqua. "Thanks for making a good point." I said, smiling.

"However... If the cabin happens to not be safe, what will you do?" Asked Kristen. "We will make it safe, and make sure we are the only ones in there." Says Hayden. "Well.. I don't know about you guys, but I'm not willing to take the risk." Says Kristen, then she turns away. "Guys, please! We need to come to an agreement." I said. "I say we go to the cabin." Says Hayden. "And I suggest we find a cave." Says Kristen. "You can't be serious! Janice won't survive without proper shelter." Yells Aqua. "I-I'm going by myself, I don't give a crap about any of you, just watch, you will all regret your decision." Says Kristen, smirking sinisterly, then she fled.

"Oh come on guys..you know what I'm bringing Kristen back and we're all going home!" I say, then run after her. "That idiot." Says Hayden. "Does she even care about Janice?" Added Aqua. They both sighed together, then went into the cabin, carrying Janice. "No, Kristen! Come back! You don't know what dangers there can be in the woods!" I yelled after her, but there was no response. I'm out of breath, i stop to catch my breath, huffing and puffing, i fall to my knees and soon start crying. Whatever happened to me group of friends.. I didn't think we'd fight over something so little... "Don't cry.." What.. Who was that? "Who's there?" I call out. No response in words, but i heard footsteps coming near, i didn't dare turn around. My heart started racing, i'm so scared.. I'm all alone. Then, it grabbed me by the shoulders, it sent a chill down my spine and i couldn't move, i was terrified. "Hey little girl.." It said. The voice wasn't familiar.. It was no one I knew. Have I met my end? .. Is this it? "Boo!" I screamed, and ran the opposite way. Then there was a familiar laughter, it was only Kristen. "Kristen! You scared me to death!" I yelled. "Hahaha yeah, so?" She said, rolling her eyes. "Please come back." I said. "Mia, tell me.. Do you really want to stay in that house?" Asked Kristen. "N-No.. But it's the safest place." I mumbled. "Ah, so that's what you think? Alright, I'll stay in a cave alone." Said Kristen. I sighed. "Sorry Kristen, it's getting late i must be getting back.." I said, walking off. "You'll regret your decision" said Kristen under her breath, it gave me the chills, but I'm certain about my decision. It was 6:00 P.M. When I reached the cabin, Kristen had run further than I expected. I knocked on the door.. No answer. I knocked again. "Anyone here?" I called. Again there was no answer, I'm scared. But, i reach for the knob anyways and turn it. I push the door open to get in, and there was Aqua, Hayden, and Janice laying down. I guess they were exhausted from all the events that occurred today. "Hey Janice..you okay?" I asked. She slowly got up, and tried to get on her feet, she was having trouble, so i helped her up. "Thanks Mia, and yeah everything is alright now." She said, smiling.

"Should we just let Aqua and Hayden sleep or should we wake them up?" I asked. "Let's wake them up, it's time to eat." Says Janice. I gently poke Aqua. "Hey, Aqua, wake up." I whispered. Her eyes slowly fluttered open, then she rose. "Hey Mia, i was worried about you!" She said, pulling me into a hug. "I'm sorry, but Kristen refused to come back." I said with a tint of disappointment in my tone. "Don't worry, she was in the wrong anyways." Sighed Aqua. "Hey Hayden, get up!" Yelled Aqua. There was no response, he was silent.. No answer, and no movement. I really don't want to ask this.. But.. I should.. "Is he.." I mumbled, but Aqua cut me off. "Dead? D-Don't be silly, he can't be." We were all silent, it's now the moment of truth.. "Aqua." I said. She nodded a few times, then took a deep breath and flipped him over.

Reality is so brutal.. At this point we must accept the truth, yes... We couldn't deny it, Hayden has been stabbed to death, and his body was turned over so no one noticed the blood. This is a bloody mess! "M-Maybe Kristen was right..." I said, tears were now streaming down my face. "No! I bet she's the one behind this!" Yelled Aqua. "Hey! I know that we had a disagreement with Kristen, but that doesn't mean she's a psychopath who would kill her own lover!" I yelled. "St-Stop..." Whimpered Janice. "You shut up!" Yelled Aqua as she walked away.

Ha.. I have fooled them all, one down, and 3 to go! They have all fallen into my trap, and there is no escape now. Not only will they be slaughtered, but they won't even know who their killer is, how unfortunate.
