Taehyung would be lying if he said he hadn't thought about the mysterious omega throughout the course of the week after the party.
The boy had stuck in his mind all week, popping in his head at the most random times and disappearing quite soon as well. He had wanted to ask about the omega from Namjoon, since apparently only he had even noticed the arrival of the boy. However, the week had gotten busier than Taehyung expected, with him hardly being at the packhouse until late at night. The question had slipped the alpha's mind due to postponing it day after day. And by the end of the week, he had totally forgotten about it, along with the omega.
Until it was Sunday and Taehyung was on his way to the front of their packhouse, where there is a lobby and a welcome desk for anyone who needed assistance. It's for visitors. Without Namjoon's approval and permission granted by Jimin, the alpha who occupies the front desk, no one can enter the packhouse- the residence of all the members of the Shadow Bora pack.
That Sunday Taehyung was on the way to meet Jimin, to have a friendly chat and rant to him about life. He had known Jimin all his life and they were brothers of different mothers. Taehyung considered Jimin his closest family, even more than his parents.
However, the sight that greeted with was one of dismay. There were around ten wolves gathered at the front of the packhouse, around the desk. Taehyung, confused and curious, made his way to the crowd.
The silence, other than the pack members who talked amongst themselves, made Taehyung feel eerie. So he tried to see what the commotion was about as he raised himself from the tips of his toes, but was still unable to witness anything but a bunch of heads in front of him. So he announced his concerns.
"What's going on?"
The crowd turned to look at him, a few moving to the side to let him through. Taehyung started walking to the front of the crowd.
In front of him stood a boy, head held down, looking small.
Taehyung's eyes narrowed. However, the fact that he couldn't see the boy's face was not a problem at all. Because his brain short-circuited the moment his scent hit his nostrils: the sickeningly sweet smell of caramel and cherry blossoms.
The boy slowly raised his head, and his gaze fell upon Taehyung who stared at him. The omega's expression was blank, uninterested. And when he stared back at the alpha, not a single other emotion flashed across his face. He looked as uninterested as ever.
Taehyung felt his eyebrows knit together. The boy looked tired. There were bags under his eyes and he looked nothing like the first time Taehyung had seen him, where he looked alive and... beautiful. He was still beautiful... but not in the same way as before.
He looked different.
His lanky figure was covered with black clothing which made him look smaller than ever.. His clothes were Mundane and ordinary; a black sweatshirt that covered his palms and loose sweatpants. His feet were clad with sneakers.
"What are you doing here?" Taehyung spoke finally.
The omega looked away, a small emotion flashing across his face: anger.
"We asked, he wouldn't tell us" A female omega said behind Taehyung, to which the alpha nodded.
Taehyung sighed. "I asked what you were doing in our pack, omega" Taehyung's voice was loud and stern and it made a few omegas behind him suck in a breath. The omgea in front of him raised his head once again but unlike before, his eyes were sharp. His expression was one of annoyance.
"That's none of your business" The omega hissed.
A few hushed whispers arose from the crowd. "I think it is my business because this is my pack and an unidentified omega could be a threat to our safety"
