"oh come on babe we've watched spree like 50 times! can we watch something else, please" jack asks with a pout. it was yours and jacks movie night. he comes over to your house every friday and watches a movie with you, he brings the snack of course.
"don't be such a drama queen, we haven't watched it that much" you say as you roll your eyes.
"how about tangled? or the greatest showman? please just anything other than spree" he asks.
"you know what i'm going to say" you say as you look him in the eyes.
"i'm never going to be able to pick the movie am i?" jack asks as he leans back into the couch.
"nope" you say with a smile as you press play on spree.
you sit back and get comfy next to jack until you get a phone call from one of your best friends, Ashley.
"hey i've got to take this" you say as you stand up and walk to the kitchen to answer.
"hey ash!" you say happily.
"hey yn! can you come meet me at the library tomorrow?" ash asks.
"sure but why?" you ask as she never really asks you to meet her anywhere.
"i have cool news!" she says excitedly.
"can you tell me now!" you say, you're really impatient when it comes to wanting to know something.
"nope, you've got to wait! meet me there at 10am, see you!" she says as she ends the call.
you walk back into the living room and see jack stood up, staring at you.
"you okay?" you say to him.
"who was that?" he says.
"oh just ashley" you say.
"is ashley a girl or a boy?" he asks.
"what? a girl but why does this matter?" you say.
"so i know you're not running off with some lad" jack says as he grabs his coat.
"what? what are you doing?" you ask.
"going home" he says as he walks out of the door. you stand in the middle of your living room confused, and also upset. ever since you got with jack, he's always been so dangerously controlling and gets angry very easily. if you even look at a guy, he would start breaking things. you realised as well that you guys have not even shared a kiss yet!
the only thing keeping you two together was your fear of breaking up with him.
you decided to call it a day and turn the tv off, heading straight to bed.
-9.30am-
you woke up to the sound of construction outside of your window, groaning as you realise your neighbour was renovating his house.
you look at the time and your eyes widen. you jump out of bed, throwing on any clothes you could fine and you ran to the kitchen and took any leftovers. from there, you ran out of the door, pushing past the construction men and running to the library.

you walked in and looked around for ash quietly, she was nowhere in sight. then, you felt hands on your shoulders.
"BOO!" ash shouted, making you physically jump.
"oh ash! what have i told you about these jump scares!" you say. "sorry sorry but the opportunity was there" she says.
