I gripped the remains of my Zanpakuto's hilt, "H-Hadō 54...H_Haien." I said weakly as I fired my final last-ditch attack in a futile attempt to kill Zaraki before he cleaved off my head.
I had died, strangely I felt warm, "CAPTAIN WAKE UP!" a woman shouted I sat up dazed and in shock, "Captain! Get up you have a busy day Squad 11 isn't gonna run itself and I'm not running it for you!" she said as I looked up at her.

"My head is killing me. Where's Isane?" I asked, "What do you want with the lieutenant of Squad 4? And your head probably hurts because of the fight you had with Squad 10's captain Isshin Kurosaki." she said, "I'm sorry, but who are you?" I asked, "Well that's new, did you lose your memory or something? I'm your Lieutenant, Sango Minami." she said.
Sango and I went about "our" daily routines, "Captain Yachiru Unohana! I challenge you to a fight!" an all too familiar voice said, "Zaraki." I said coldly, "Buzz off Zaraki, Captain Unohana has better things to do than fight a brute like you." Sango said, "No, I will fight you, but I will fight to kill you." I said coldly as I stood up.
We went to the courtyard and prepared to fight. I made it a point to have the entire squad watch, "This will be to the death, Zaraki, and I will not allow myself to lose." I said as I raised my Zanpakuto, "I WON'T LOSE EITHER!" Zaraki laughed as he lunged at me I let him cut into my coat before I cut his arms off and raised my arm. "Hadō 88, Hiryū Gekizoku Shinten Raihō." I said calmly as I shot him in the back killing him in a fiery explosion. I noticed the gate had opened slightly and a little boy was looking in at the match.

I was watching the fight when the pretty lady looked at me.

She was terrifying, but I couldn't look away, "DON'T MOVE!" a man shouted I ran inside to the pretty lady and clung to her. "Sango, hide him." the lady said as her lieutenant grabbed me and flash stepped me into the dojo, "Move and you die." she said as she returned to her squad, "Have you seen a child come through here? He's meant to be executed." the man said, "He ran through here, but escaped over the wall." the pretty lady said. Once the guards left she came to me, "Hello there little one. I'm Yachiru Unohana. What is your name?" she asked sweetly, "(y-y/n)." I said. "Why are you here (y/n)?" she asked, "Fight!" I said making her laugh, "Well now, if that's what you want, very well." she said, "Captain let me fight him." Sango said, "Hm ok, but if he lands a single hit on you he wins." Unohana said as she tried to hand me a wooden sword, I shook my head and held out my arm and a flame appeared, I drew my sword from the flames.

"Fine, then I won't go easy on you!" Sango said, "Devour them Dakki!" she said as her blade transformed.

I lunged at her, but she blocked with the flat of her blade and slashed with the back of her sword, "Set your heart ablaze..." I said softly, "RENGOKU!" I shouted as my sword transformed into a gauntlet.

I punched past her blade and hit her in the stomach, I didn't do hardly any damage, but I still landed a hit! "YOU BRAT!" Sango snapped angrily as she slashed at me, "That's enough. He won the fight Sango." Unohana said as she blocked Sango's attack.
Unohana POV
I took (y/n) to my office to talk. "(y/n) where are your parents? I'm sure they're worried about you." I said, "They dead." he said, "Oh, I'm so sorry. How about this, I'll adopt you. I think you earned a reward for winning your fight." I said, "O-Ok." I said happily.
